I need help to learn how to cope with my sideeffects. Cause its harming my whole family. Need good advice!!THanKS!!!! for reading

I had the SAME thing happen to me in 03!!!!! I couldn't handle the side effects so I had my Mirena removed and went with Paraguard. The great thing about it that it's hormone free!!! I'm not sure how it works entirely, but it's a copper T that has tiny little strings that kinda hang out in the birth canal. I haven't experienced one mood swing or any of that other crap I went through with Mirena and you can leave this in for up to TEN years.

If you can afford to, remove the Mirena and go with the Paraguard!!!!!

Best of luck to you!!!!!

Mirena is supposed to be a lower dose of hormones that is absorbed directly by your cervix. You may need to go on a birth control pill that has only estrogen. It does take 3 months or so for your body to get used to hormones. So, your choices are to stick it out for 3 months and see if it gets better, or switch to a birth control pill and see if that is easier.

Talk to your doctor and try a different birth control option. I've used mirena myself and never had any side effects. What you're experiencing is not normal!!!!

Have you checked to see if you are pregnant?!!! Also, there is a Natural Family Planning place in Cincinnati. It is called "Couple to Couple League International". They have some good info on the fertility cycle and how to manage it. Hope all goes well.

Its not stuck in there for five years, and there are other dosages and brands of IUD.

Generally you take about 6-12 weeks to get regular on it, but if its not working foryou go and have it removed and replace it with a different one, or a different kind of birth control.

Neither on my own is extra effective than the different. With the two, you nonetheless have a gamble of having pregnant. that's nice in case you opt for to apply in simple terms a condom or in case you ascertain to bypass on delivery administration.....although that's terrific to apply delivery administration and a condom mutually (<<---as a style of back up secure practices).

Go and talk to you doctor. You can have it removed and it seems like you should. There is no need to live like that.
