I have four children between the ages of 2 to 16

How much is fair without nasty spoiling them, and should the amounts be different per child.............

The oldest is expecting really expensive gifts but works himself now, he refused to go to college even though we can afford to fully support him.....

Should he now be treated as a grown up this year?!?!?!?!?!

HELP lol

Heres the thing, my son is 2 years old, has long hair and ALWAYS gets mistaken for a girl...EVEN AFTER you correct someone and let them know he is a boy.
He looks like a boy, dresses boyish, no pink!
I mean you have to be really stupid to still call him a girl after being told he is a boy right???
I am not cutting his hair either. Boys with long hair are the cutest!!!

What is the hardest aspect of raising them? The easiest?
How do you expect your toddler to act toward you? Toward others?
How would you teach them to behave?
Do you allow them to make decisions?
Please parents, moms or dads, please help me.

My friend has been separated from her husband for well over a year, and hasn't dated any other man in that time. She recently just met a guy who she really likes, and he is nice, and would like to date him. She asked her kids what they thought about it and they said no...Now she won't date the guy!!! The kids are 14 and 15, and I understand them. But I feel bad for her. She wanted me to ask what other mom's would do. She can't expect the guy to wait 5 or more years until the kids move out!!! She loves her kids and wants them to be happy. But why can't she be happy too? She wants to know what to do, can anyone help her? I already gave her my opinion...I said go ahead, becuase they shouldn't be able to control her "personal" life. She is the parent! What do you all think??

He doesn't listen and he is constantly in timeout. He hits his sister and wakes her up all of the time. I never have time for my baby because he takes up all of her time. I am having a nervous break down. I don't have anytime for my daughter and I feel bad. he knows he is upsetting me. Even though I spend all of my time with my son he still acts like a baby. I'm in tears and in a stressful sitaution. I can't drop my son with anyone else. I need to know what to do with the both of them. Serious answers please.

Studies have shown that although post-war women are now contributing more than ever to the labour market (sharing the breadwinning burden) there has not been an equal shift in the areas of childcare/housework labour divisions.

The least equitable seems to be for women who work part-time who, when paid and unpaid labour is considered end up doing an average 19 hours more work compared with her male partner.

As childcare and housework can be menial/thankless/laborious work (with the latter not having the compensatory laughs, love and rewards) why do men not do more to help in these areas? As a general rule I mean, each family is diverse and some men may well dislike the disparity also.

On an aside for example, it often used to amuse me when a male colleague use to announce he was 'babysitting the kids as the wife was going out'.. not only was in partner an indefinite article (lmao) but how can someone babysit their OWN children!?

that vaccinating against HPV is going to cause women to become promiscuous, do they really have that little faith in their parenting skills, to think that a vaccination will erase everything they have taught their daughters? Isn;t it better to vaccinate and be safer then to ignore the reality of the danger of cervical cancer?

At what point do you consider your one year old child too sick to go to an in home day care. My provider only requires fever free/vomit free for 24 hours, but I do want to be thoughtful of the other children (although have no idea if other parents are as thoughtful). We are first time parents and not sure where to draw the line.

How do you punish your kids for stealing cookies?

I don't want to go into too much details, but let's just say that I've made it *very* clear that my kids are not to get cookies out of the jar without permission. I was so sure that they would obey, I decided the jar would be the best place to hide my gun. There were at least 5 in the clip and one in the chamber when I put it in there, and now there are only 3 in the clip and none in the chamber.

I know they've been taking cookies, so how can i punish them.

My wife is in a mom's group and one of the other mom's asked for someone to watch their just turned 3 year old on the day of their scheduled c-section. Since no one had responded yet my wife agreed to even though we have a set of 2 year olds. The grandparents dropped her of at 8:00 am because the c-section was scheduled at 10:30. When I got home at 5:00, I was surprised to see her still there and my wife said no one had called. Finally at 5:30 the dad called and was going to go home and shower before he picked up his daughter!
When our twins were born (also a c-section) I was away from my son for only 4 hours and he stayed with my parents.
We felt these people were very strange. Are we right?

My mom is going to be 50 next month, I am married and almost 26. My wife and I are trying to have our first baby and my mom has mentioned that she is too young to be someone's grandma.

She says that she doesn't feel like she has the time to be a grandma because she likes to hang out with her friends. Now she has a new boyfriend so we rarely see her.

I don't want her to take care of my baby, I just was hoping she would be a grandma to my kid since my dad is dead. (My parents were divorced)

I am her only child so my kid will be her only grandchild. I know I can't force her to be a grandma if she doesn't want to be one, but what do I do?

Can't she live her life AND be a grandma? I don't need her help with my family, I just wanted her to be somewhat involved. Maybe visit the baby a few times a month?

She doesn't say this because she is concerned about me: she wasn't into being a mom when I was a kid because she spent a lot of time with boyfriends.

What do you think?

My son has been in his terrible two's for about 10 months, he's almost 3 now. I want to hear from those that had a child who were really really bad during there terrible two's and when was it over and how the kids are now. I feel like he is one of the worst cases (he has been expelled from two daycares) and that he will never change.

I'm 14-year-old girl.I have a boyfriend(he's 21).We usually have sex two or three times a week(at his house). We never use condoms(he can control himself) but recently I felt sick some times and I made a test. The test says I'm pregnant. My boyfriend and I love each other very much and we both want to keep the baby.I don't know how to tell my parents. My boyfriend is ready to take care of the child while I turn 18.He even offered me to go to live with him if my parents are mad with me.He works and has a big salary,he is able to take care of us.How do I tell my parents about that?I don't want to move house yet but if they get mad,I will.Any advice please?

I just read an article on the internet at http://www.parents.org.uk/index.html?news_child-cost.htm&2 and I have to ask.
With the cost of having a child now being More Than The Price Of The Average UK House in the North that is £153,000 from birth to age 21, with the cost rising depending on what region you live in, can you really afford to have a child?
