Hi i am a girl and i am 12 in the 6 grade. Few days ago i got in a major huge fite with my momma when we were shopping with my brother and sister and she kept picking on my and nagging me and i wusnt in a good mood so i yelled back at her and told her to shut up and leave me alone and that got her rilly mad and she yell at me in front of everyone When we get home she sayd i had been rilly rude to her and i was in BIG trouble and i got a super hard spanking and i cried so much!! I got other punishment to but i mean i am 12 now arent i too big for spankings?? How can i get her change her mind and just give me talking to??

I was 13 when I got my last spanking..
Im 34 and I still remember it! LOL.. My younger sister was sitting in the chair watching TV and she got up to get something so I took the chair.. She came back and I said "move your feet lose your seat" my mother told me to get up and I said "NO!" she told me again to get up and i said NO so she got up and I ran... She had a hard time catching me but she did hehehe.. and as she was spanking me she was yelling "How does it feel to be 13 and getting a spanking... LOL Geez it makes me laugh now to think of it..
But Anyways I guess your not too old. But you can prob count it as one of your last..
Be nicer to your Mom.. In just a few years you will look back and say WOW I deserved that spanking when I was 12..

Well, If you act like a little kid then maybe you need to be punished like a little kid and get a spanking.
You were really rude to your mom. You should NEVER tell your mom to shut up. If you can't handle her yelling at you or nagging you, just stay quiet and don't say a word to her. Or tell her you need to use the bathroom and get away from her for a while. That way when you come out of the bathroom she might not nag at you any more.
Your mom has other kids to worry about also, Being a mom is stressful and sometimes we may nag because it releases some pent up stress. Don't take her yelling or Nagging to heart.
Just agree with her and say, "Ok mom, I'll try". That will stop her from yelling at you or nagging you.
Stop being a brat and help your mom out.
THen you won't get spanked.
Your in the Sixth Grade, act like it instead of acting like a third grader throwing a fit in a store. Come on now, you know you shouldn't have.

I have 3 daughters ages 3, 7, and 10. So no 12 year olds yet, but if any told me to shut up you could bet they would be in for it. Yes it's spanking time. Sorry kid-o, talking comes after the spanking, it does not replace the spanking. Talking is disciplining or teaching, a spanking is the consequence for your wrong doing. If you had been able to get yourself under control by yourself (which is what your mom is trying to teach you) earlier and not shouted, and told her to shut up, ya I could see her just giving you a lecture.
Be thankful your mom loves you enough to teach you the right way (with consequences). Also be thankful you not my daughter, if you told me to shut up especially in public, you could bet there would be a good old fashioned spanking, with out the luxury of pants/panties to soften the impact.
My advise just learn from it and move on.

I never spank my children at all,never did and never will. But, all Mom's have different parenting styles and your Mom feels this is the right way of doing things. If I were you I would just start a conversation with your Mom and tell her how you feel, tell her that you would rather talk about what you did wrong and tell her that you feel that 12 is too big to be spanked and ask her to punish you in some other way. Just be honest with her and take it from there.

Sounds like she should have given you more spankings when you were younger. How is she suppose to give you a talking to when she does you obviously start yelling at her. You need to learn a little respect. You want to be treated like you are older then act like it. Ordinarily I would say 12 is to old for spanking but the way you are acting I guess you are the exception.

Nope, you are not to big to get a spanking. You shouldn't have spoke to your mom like that. You need to respect her. And you are old enough to know that. You were very rude to her and you deserved a good spanking. You are only 12 and still a little girl. I hope that you learned a very good lesson & will never do that again!
PS: Spanking a child is not against the law. Your mom has every right to do that!

Hi, I'm a mother of three and my oldest is 13. Let me tell you that you are not too old to get spanked. Look at what you wrote, you know that you did wrong and that you not only disrepected your mother but you did it in front of people. Your mother loves you and only wants the best for you, you shouldn't treat her like that. If you want to be treated like someone who shouldn't be spanked then you shouldn't behave like a little child. I know that you're young but if you were to just let your mom calm down and come to her later (when she's cooled off) and let her know what you felt and that she hurt your feelings then maybe things would have turned out differently.
Have respect for your mother and start behaving like a young lady, you're 12 and should behave with manners and respect.

if you're 12 then you could recognize more effective to yell at your mom. You were out of line to yell at her in a public position and there is by no potential a very good reason to yell at your mom. If you feel your to old to be spanked then maybe you need to show in actions to your mom that you are old enough to be spoken to or punished when doing something wrong.. I personally haven't spanked any of my kids since they were 7-8 yrs old.. But they showed me that spanking really wouldn't do any good, but that taking away the computer, tv, bike, horse, or whatever they really enjoy works alot better... I guess I am trying to say, Show her with your actions.....

If you act like a mature person, she'll be more likely to treat you like one. Instead of yelling at you mom, set aside a time to talk to her. You might want to tell her that since you think you're too old to be spanked, you're going to stop acting like a child and not give her a reason to spank you.
