What age do you feel is appropriate to talk to you child about SEX? As parents we are quick to talk about stangers but not Sex with are children, I feel this needs to change and be put on top of the list of things we should talk about with our children. I remember talking to my 5 year old nephew about adults touching him and telling him know matter who it is (mom,dad,grandprents,aunts etc) to always tell someone whats going on and when he turn 11 years old we had a small talk about girls and what he felt about them and now he is 14 yrs old and I gave him his first box of comdoms and set down and talk with him again. His mom is great she just can't do the talking, and his father feels young boys should feel on women and learn that way. (stupid).. I am happy I did this for him because not only has he done his on research he also try to help others. Just the other day he told me one of his friends had sex and he is scared she might be pregnant. His friend is 16 and so is the girl.

I am interested in hearing from parents, freshmen, and others. What do you suggest the curfew be when our daughter comes home for a weekend stay. She is 18, a freshman at college and comes home to visit for a weekend every couple of months. What time should we say she should be home?

My son is 4 1/2 years old and will start kindergarten next year. He is my only child and I am a stay-at-home mom. For the past year and a half he has not stayed with anyone else at all and we live in a rural area with no neighborhood children for him to play with. He and I are together all day every day. I am searching for any suggestions on things I could begin now in order to make his first day of school as painless as possible, for both of us. Any replies are welcome.

Did you blame yourself? (former drug use, not taking care of yourself enough during pregnancy, etc) Your spouse? Did it ever cause tension between you two? Can you describe a little about what you personally went through because of it? Were you ever ashamed? Or maybe just worried about how it would effect your child's life?

I'm planning to buy a Playstation 3 JUST SO I CAN PISS OFF:

#1 My two adopted cousins (adopted by my gay aunt).

#2 My 5 cousins (My Uncle's Sons). My uncle is so cheap the only thing he buys these kids is Nintendo Gamecubecrap and they are STARVING TO get to my house for Xbox, Xbox360 and Playstation 2
FOR SOME REAL VIOLENCE.

My uncle is so cheap, he wouldn't even buy ALL OF THEM a PS3 for christmas as a single Gift if they all got together and asked for it HAHAHAH.

LOL - they are still upset I have a $250 PSP

#3 I wanna piss off all the schoolkids I teach who either: don't have parents to buy a PS3;
don't have parents STUPID enough to buy a PS3; or don't have parents my age (25) who would go out and buy it for themselves so the kids could LIE and say they got it for Christmas.

I can't WAIT till christmas. Nothing more exciting than seeing dissapointed children.
After you work as a teacher for long enough you start to HATE THEM.

My nephew has been "signed" over to my parents and they haven't been taking care of him, I have, and I already got a child that's under the age of 1 and I don't think I can handle 2 of them (he's three months and she's 1 and a half months)anymore, and I've already talked to my parents and they said they weren't going to do it, and my brother is useless for this type of thang. I have work, and collage to tend to, and I can't afford to have two kids in child day care, and my professers won't let me have them in class unless they are sick, and I really don't want to leave them with my boyfriend, he has a job too. What to do? help, I think I'm going to have an other nervous break down. I already had one, I just yelled at people, even people I didn't know. I'm not giving him up for addoption, he needs me to much.....

Just because u r a teacher for 20 something years or have had children does it mean that u r better than parents who still have school age children. I have had a woman who keeps commenting on my questions. She basically asks what kind of parent I am for......... blah blah blah. Just because u ask for help doesnt mean u r a bad parent. I think bad parents just dont care. Bad parents dont ask how to stop a problem. They dont care how bad it festers. Do any of u feel u r being bad parents because u ask what to do on here??? It helps to be informed does it not????

I've tried grounding, punishment, and now I've totally lost my temper and have practically cussed him out. I don't use physical punishmen to any kind. I've removed his computer, he is in his room with nothing but books and a radio. I don't know how to handle the lies.

I can ask her a simple question or just tell her i like her shirt and every response is sarcastic and rude. I have tried punishing her like taking away computer time and her tv. I have sat down by her and asked her whats the matter and she tells me she is fine. I just dont know what to do and its hurting me and its even hard to be around her sometimes.Any feedback... tyvm
