How do you punish your kids for stealing cookies?
I don't want to go into too much details, but let's just say that I've made it *very* clear that my kids are not to get cookies out of the jar without permission. I was so sure that they would obey, I decided the jar would be the best place to hide my gun. There were at least 5 in the clip and one in the chamber when I put it in there, and now there are only 3 in the clip and none in the chamber.
I know they've been taking cookies, so how can i punish them.

i think you should reward your kids for at least returning the gun.
you dont see kids running around with PRETEND video games, or PRETEND shoes, or PRETEND abortions - why settle for anything less than an authentic gun?

hmmm...why don't you be a responsible parents and buy a gun safe? that would be the smart thing. Kids are curious and they will always try, so just get a gun safe. My dad had a gun in the house b/c he was law enforcement, but he would keep it in a safe when he wasn't home. He also taught me about his weapon, and how to know it was loaded. It took some of the curiousness out of the weapon for me.
Bottom line: Get a gun safe...and if you're not going to get a safe, then NEVER EVER LEAVE A LOADED WEAPON WITHIN REACH OF CHILDREN... YOU SHOULD LEAVE NO AMMUNITION IN THE GUN...EVEN IF YOU TAKE THE BULLET OUT OF THE CHAMBER NEVER LEAVE THE MAGAZINE IN!

You are a complete moron!!! If you don't want kids to take cookies then don't leave them within their reach. Why in the world would you hide a gun in a cookie jar?! Your the one that needs punishing!

umm, if this is a real question, then it is probably your fault, you need to get a safe with a key, they are not that expensive. the cookie jar is not the best place for a gun. you better just ask what they did with the missing rounds.

first off
second... u need to seriously talk to them... and ask them why they dont listen to u... and tell them that u have no problem with them having the cookies... but that they should ask first and have someone else get them for them.. also...
how old are they... bc if they are young u can try to tell them about climbing on the counter and if they got hurt how they can damage thier head... and if they are older... u need to be smarter bc they arent stupid

If this story of yours is true it is not the kids who need punishment it is you. Someone needs to call the authorities and have the kids removed from your house and you need to be arrested for child endangerment.
