This is going to be kinda of long and I will probably have to post additional details but please bare with me, I really need advice.

My eldest son's father has been contacting me recently and has got me worried. Part of my worry is that he's a wanted murderer. A week and a half after his son was born I found out that he had broke into one of his coworkers house and stabbed her to death, and then fled the country. Even worse they approximated that she died only 2 days after our son was born. They never found out why he did it, and obviously they never took him into custody. The reason for that was by the time they found him he was already back in his home country and his country refused to hand him over to the authorities. Now this is where my other worries come from. When he first started to call again it was just simple 5 minute calls asking how his son was. Now they are getting to the point where he is questioning me about things, some of which I haven't told him.

I suffer from night terrors & have stopped breathing because of it. Do I just let them have it & hope for the best? They are great kids, honor roll students, in choir, and 4-H.

I'm not a parent, but I do know how afraid of my parents I used to be. As an adult I actually am still quite afraid of them, its better to just stay away.

What should I do, I have two children and lung cancer men have only a 20% chance to survive the first year and only 15% to survive 5 year. How can I help my two young children to understand this. They might lose their Grandmother too, because she is not orginally from va and she might move back to california after he dies, then my children will have no grandparents. I know I shouldn't think he will die, but it kills me inside to know that we might lose two grandparents

I have a 3yr old and a 4yr old. My 3 yr old will not listen, throws tantrams (about 15 a day), refused to talk or try now. We do timeouts, talks, rewards for good behavior. She just tells us no and when her father and I tell her no or to do something she looks at us gives us this grin and does it anyway. What should I try to do because our 4yr old was a breeze compared to this one.

what do I do when I feel like my in law family is rude like only having a lunch date for 30 mins when I have two children and it takes me a lot of effort to put everything together and I waste my time on 30 mins? I went to my sister in law's house for 20 mins and when her husband came home she made me feel like I have to leave at that moment. I'm a great person to be around and I'm not mean at all. My time is valuable, and how should I react. Should I say I can't go out for only 30 mins because it wastes my gas and I get exhaust lugging my two angels, their 30 pound diaper bag, and their double stroller around. Tell me about your stories like this one to and how you reacted. Thanks

Personally, I hate being an only child. It made my cry when I was a kid, I was so lonely, and just felt 'different'. I used to beg god for a sibling, and sadly it never happened. I plan never to put my future kids through that. I'm planning on having at least two kids. Just wondering if other only children out there feel the same and how many kids you chose to have. Thanks :)

My daughter, who is 5 today, is becoming a problem child. (Her father has ADHD; perhaps she inherited hyperactivity.) The last few months she has been misbehaving more and more. She does not listen to anything anyone says, she will not obey, pick up, stop whining, be quiet or settle down, and she will not stop destroying things (the latest stunt is cutting up - with her safety scissors! - her fabric-covered Disney Princess lounge chair). I have tried everything - rewards, time out, yelling, being patient and understanding, and yes, I have tried spanking. Two-thirds of the time she is sweet and loving, but a third of the time she is destructive, incorrigible, reckless and impossible. Someone please tell me what to do. Granted, the last few months I have been going through a divorce with her father - but it is amicable, we BOTH show her our love for her, and NOTHING is an excuse for this kind of behavior. I am at the end of my rope.

Some parks departments are starting to have summer events where they have a huge mud pit for kids to play in. Parents are told to dress their kids in shorts or swimsuits that can get ruined and kids are hosed down afterwards. Would you take your child to an event like this?

So this past week I flew up to minnesota to visit my dying grandma. My mom really disrespected me. She insisted on me buying her ciggeretts and I didn't believe in supporting her habit, she harassed me about it constantly. She even accuses ME of being selfish! She embarassed me in public by taking cig butts from the ashtray outside the grocery store and asking people at the nursing home my grandma was staying at to "bum" some cigs. I left minnesota back home with a bad feeling. She's pretty much been like this my whole life....

DO YOU THINK I SHOULD CUT HER OUT OF MY LIFE? I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE. SHE EMBARASSES ME SO MUCH.

SHE NEEDS TO BE IN A PSYCH WARD.
SHE'S AN ALCOHOLIC
SHE HAS A PERSONALITY DISORDER

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, PLEASE HELP.

My son refuses to eat anything that is not moosh. I have tried many different kinds of table foods, and he clamps his little mouth shut every time. If I'm crafty enough to get a little in there, it gets spit right out! I'm running out of ideas.

My son has gotten his girlfriend pregnant.
I am not able to speak with him because I am so outraged that he would go behind my back and do something with a girl that hes not married to.
Shes thinking of getting an abortion because i am so mad.
I told her that it is her and my sons fault and that they should make the discison.
Also, my son now wants to get married to this girl and they are 17 and he would need our parental consent.
What should i do?
