I suffer from night terrors & have stopped breathing because of it. Do I just let them have it & hope for the best? They are great kids, honor roll students, in choir, and 4-H.

My sister has night terrors & also stops breathing. I used to share a room & sleep on a bunkbed, just in case. Even a tv commercial about scary things could cause one. She usually sat straight up, screamed (bloody murder!) and stopped breathing. If Mom wasn't home, I had to pat her back til she started breathing again & talked to me. That's a night terror!
I would defintely, ask someone else to watch the kids & leave. Your kids should be willing to clean up before you get home.
Good luck & congrats on raising great kids!!

Yeah have it anyway but maybe do not get really really scary things get things that all you guys can handle. Maybe make the gloushish things yourself that way at least you can ease your mind knowing what they are made out of.
You do need to let them have the party they sure deserve it. like that other person said invite your friends too and maybe you can sit in anthor room while her party is going on and just keep checking on them every once in awile.
GOOD LUCK

it shouldn't be scary to you since you know every behind-the-scenes details. Let them have it, and go hang out in your room. You can check on the kids periodically throughout the night. This shouldn't scare you too bad.

I think you should let them have it. It really won't be scary if you're in on all the spooky stuff. Kinda like when someone tells a joke you've already heard a hundred times isn't funny any more.

Um, how about you let them have the party while you go out for the couple hours that the party and cleanup will take. I'm not saying leave them alone, leave your husband or another trusted adult with them or something.
