I stay home with 4 kids, and my hubby works long hours, so I basically have them to myself ALL the time. No help from grandparents/family either. Am I selfish for considering putting them in a daycare 1 day a week to have some time for me, or errands, shopping, etc.?? "I can't get a haircut, or shop for myself, I can hardly use the bathroom in private without a kid. Help

I feel that I worry so much about always doing the right thing that I may not be enjoying my children as much as I should.

There is this man (at least 65) that hangs out in the same park that my son goes to, a local park that is closeby. He has no kids of his own and no reason to be in this park, it is a kiddie park and is completely closed off (except for one door) with swings and a jungle gym. He brings his 2 guinea pigs to the park and sits them on the bench with him, which I see as bait to bring the kids over to talk to him. I have a strong feeling he is a pedophile. Is there anything I can do to get him out of the park? Do I have the legal right to ask him to leave? What would you do? Other parents have mentioned that he is creepy and they want him out as well.

Bedwetting is sporadic and although we've tried "no drinks after 6 pm" and getting child up at night in her sleep...she never remembers going to the bathroom when she does this, of course...., mostly this works but sometimes it doesn't. Have had her checked with doctor...unsure what to do next...

You know what I'm talking about! They call early in the morning, ring the blasted doorbell every 15 minutes, never take no for an answer, try to argue with you when you say it's not a good time. How the heck do you get rid of em?

When I'm angry I don't like to stop yelling and gently explain what a word means. i.e.

1. You guys are so ' Unappreciative'!
2. Will you stop with all the 'Ridiculousness'!
3. Don't 'Disregard,Disrespect' me!
4. Stop 'Tormenting, Instigating, Aggravating,' him/her.
5. Other words which I find them having a hard time understanding are 'Stop, No, Now, and Hush'.

Please help me find alternatives to these words so that I can enjoy my disciplining.

Thank you.

She is very sweet, yet smart to a fault almost. She pushes her knowledge onto others, and it can be a bit much at times. She has never really
had a friend and we just moved. This all doesnt seem to bother her a bit, it is killing me.

My lovely 32 mos old boy is wonderful cept potty traiining. We did that conquered that, did that and yet failed 2 weeks later. but this isn't my question... my question is...how or why is anything other than "NO" telling your child acceptable?

I read lots of answers on here and apparently everyone is tellling you to spank or hit the child if they are doing something wrong ..something wrong as little as "throwing a toy" I do not have this problem since I tell my lil one Not to do it when he tries..cause believe me he tries...But I DON'T GET When people give advice to spank or even strike a hand to the children.

I am coming from somewhere that I haven't ever been spanked or hit am I wong?

very. in my opinion abortion rules. people opose it like its forced on people. well its not. the reason people even get abortion is usually because they cant afford to care for a child or were raped or would get kicked out of their homes for getting pregnant. theres good reasons why its there.

and also...overpopulation is the source of all the worlds problems. pollution, global warming, oil rarities and the such. we dont need more kids.

she always wants to be stuck to my side.this started last year and hasn't stopped yet. i can't eat, talk on the phone, or even take a shower without her standing at the door. she is the only girl, and has 3 little brothers so i have always tried to spend some "girl time" with her each week so she would not feel left out, but here lately it is like she has to do everything i do and go everywhere i go. just wondering if this is normal or not???

i only ask because my three year old just came to me crying because she got a fishing lure (without a hook) stuck in her nose. nothing like seeing your daughter run around with a bright pink rubber worm stuck in her nose!

Is it me only or are there men out there with the same experience. I can handle my kids whining and tantrum, and i have very effective ways of handling them without resorting to "force", but boy i sure can't take my wife's nagging especially when it comes to handling the kids.

I've heard that babies/young kids can see ghosts. My daughter has always had a "gift" (she's 5 yrs.) When she was a baby she would look up at the ceiling and laugh for no reason at all. When my grandmother died, she told us she was floating in the corner of the room and she was an angel. She's never watched anything/heard us talk about anything etc. Has anyone else had experiences like this with their children??
