I don't know if you have a daughter or a son or anything about where you live. If you have a fenced in back yard, let them run around and play with some balls and outdoor toys. Ride bikes in a safe place. Take them to the beach (?) or community pool, and supervise them. In the house make something in the kitchen together - ice cream sundaes or special sandwiches. It's best to limit video game and TV time. Can you give them some kind of crafts project? For example making some construction projects like Legos or Kinex? Girls can make jewelry out of cheap beads (take them to Michaels to pick out something), or play with dolls for hours. If you have boys, get some comic books. (Am I showing my age? I am over 50) When I was that age we used to roam the neighborhood and catch frogs, climb on neighbors' roofs. The time passes so quickly. They'll grow up so fast and if you can take the time to enjoy them as kids now, before all that teenage stuff starts.

Well..if your ten year old is a girl, and in some cases a boy..you could always let them help you bake something..such as cookies..or cupcakes..
Another thing..is that you could go to walmart to buy some outdoor sport toys..such as lacrosse set or baseball..and when they get bored..go play with them...which is not only good exercise for your kids but also for you!

I always kept the kids busy by inviting them to bake or cook with me. Kids of that age can learn basic recipes and can learn about fractions by measuring ingredients. They can take pride in the finished product. Boys and girls both can enjoy this type of activity

Give them each a bar of soap and ask them to carve a face or animal.
Get some paper and sissors and show them how to make fold out people, hearts, snowflakes, etc.
Let them cut pictures out of magazines and make a collage of their favorite things.
Bake sugar cookies and let them cut their own designs out of the dough.
Hide an object in the room and play "warmer - colder" as they hunt for it.
Cut off some buttons on an old shirt and show them how to sew them back on. Let them do the sewing.
Blind fold one of them and let the other verbally guide them as they make sandwiches for lunch.
Hmm, , , , I'm out of ideas. Good Luck

You should talk with your daughter before the sleepover, and together, make a list of fun activities she and her friend would enjoy doing. Stop up on board games. Do Internet searches for fun stuff to do during sleepovers.

Get them a movie they like or get a board game they all love. Get a story book or make some up yourself and read it to them.

My mom always suggested that I clean up my room when I complained about being bored. That usually inspired me to find something else to do! :o)

Play a board game, watch a movie, play hop scotch outside. Just to name a few. They should be more creative at that age.
