I've heard that babies/young kids can see ghosts. My daughter has always had a "gift" (she's 5 yrs.) When she was a baby she would look up at the ceiling and laugh for no reason at all. When my grandmother died, she told us she was floating in the corner of the room and she was an angel. She's never watched anything/heard us talk about anything etc. Has anyone else had experiences like this with their children??

we encourage her to tell us more, we never tell her what she sees does not exist. She always seems to be very comfortable with it, so as long as she is comfortable, we will encourage her.

I will tell you that as a child, I used to "see stuff" all the time.
I was only afraid after I tried to tell my mother. Of course her reaction was to tell me that it wasn't there. I struggled with this all the way into High School. I then became very ill and I started to have spontanious out-of-body experiences. I had no idea what was happening to me, but I loved the sensation and I will never forget how it felt. I could do it at will. After some research, I learned what was happening and after that, I just accepted that I have this strange gift.
Now I gladly accept it and I encourage you to be open to the idea. Listen to your daughter. If you dismiss it as her imagination, she will only be terrified and think that she must be crazy...that is a horrible feeling for such a young child.
I still remember being 6 years old and watching a man standing over my bed and knowing that if I screamed or ran to my parent's bedroom, I would be punished. Most of the things that I saw were peaceful, but some were not. Blessed Be

Hi! I haven't HAD the experience with a child. However,I am a psychic Intuitive and Paranormal Investigator. I believe when babies come into this world that there is a part of the brain that does affect a child's seeing of spirits, communicating with them, even haing memories of past lives.
In our society, this kind of thing is thrown away as a child's imagination, pretend, and eventually, adults and society will supress these wonderful gifts. Saying things like"It's not real", "ghosts don't exsist",it was a dream", "stop being so silly",etc.
If you feel comfortable about this with your little one, encourage it.Ask if and/or what she see, have her draw pictures of what she sees. Let her mind and gift flourish.
Always ask/pray for protection from your "Higher God",if you believe in one to protect you and your daughter and anyone she comes in contact with,
I wish you and your little angel the best.

Babies are more susceptible to those kind of things because they haven't had anyone tell them they don't exist. Indigo children do exist and I believe there are special children with this gift. My nephew saw "things" and he continues to have experiences where he will see things. My daughter started to show signs of this at 6 months, my mother passed away last year in the very house we live in, and there are times my daughter will look at one particular spot and sit and laugh, coo, talk, and play. I don't like to think of them as ghost, but angels that are there to protect and look over our little ones.

Yes my babies would look up and laugh and smile like something was talking to them. I was always told they were looking at angels.
But I don't believe in ghost.

Oh missed that one part. I'm sleep. She's saw your grandmother and she was a angel. She may have a gift and is able to see things since she is 5 years. I dream that's all I know about. Maybe someone who sees spirits will know more.

my sister is said to have the "gift" too. She was always telling us that she saw my dead grandfather at the end of her bed. We would always encourage her, and never told her that's not what she was seeing
My sister is now 19 and she has vivid dreams of people who have passed. Some people would give anything to see their loved ones once again. I'd say your daughter is gifted and encourage her in every way. Those who don't believe, are missing out.

I always wondered that.
I read an article about that and it stated that babies are so innocent and pure that they do see angels. If you ever see baby laughing and talking to nothing, but looking straight ahead or up, it's an angel making them laugh. Is that true? I don't know. But I like to believe it is.

Yes. My 2 1/2 year old daughter continuously talks to her great grandmother. Her great grandmother died a year and a half before she was born.

When my daughter was a baby, she used to stare up at the ceiling and smile, then start giggling, as if someone was tickling her. Other times she would just burst out laughing uncontrollably. I do believe she was somehow communicating with my mom.

I've heard of that happening and many say that since children are less jaded and innocent, they are able to see things. I know this psychic (sylvia brown) says that children see the dead, especially dead relatives, when they are younger and more open to spirtual experiences. Whereas, we are more prone to brush off what we see as an overactive imagination. So I believe that they do see things that we don't see. And so do animals.
