Get to am internist. He is a specialist in medical diagnoses. It could be any number of problems. For example allergies, a parasitic worm infection. (don't panic it's easily treatable), extreme stress (for any number of reasons). A rare dietary deficiency. etc. etc. She requires a complete medical history taken, an exhaustive blood workup and profile, perhaps exhaustive allergy determination. (the "mutton diet"). and less likely a C.A.T. scan etc. etc.
The cause is most probably not serious, but it is remotely possible that it may be a rare serious problem. Please do not take chances. Get it checked in the near future.
Good luck,
Dan the Answers-Man.

so she has had allergy tests??
my daughter used to break out in itchy hives for no reason ,
at say 2 am, then disappear after an hour
once i waited in doc office and they disappeared before she saw him so no help there
then took her to a specia/different type of Chiropractor and she was ok for ages then
now only bad now if she eats whole wheat' or 'stressed'
find a recommended acupuncturist, nearby, or homeopath
it was a miracle when at 2 , she ate a burger from McD and was fine, no bad reactions
also she may need a very bland diet
all i can add different to the other advice that is good

Maybe stress or some sort of allergy or both. Very possible that there is an unbalance in her gut flora. Giving probiotics can help rebalance that (more good bacteria Vs "bad bacteria"), which will help her digestive system. You will find those in good health shops. I believe they are quite expensive. You need to check that and ask for one that has as many different sorts of bacteria as possible.
Basically pro-biotics are the opposite of "anti-biotics" (which destroy the gut flora as they sort out other problems). You can try this for a few weeks and see. Apparently, it is not unusual that symptoms become worse before they improve.
Also, try to speak to her re. things that may stress her.
Good luck

I wouldn't be happy with my doc if they didn't solve the problem! Get a second opinion from another professional. Has her dad been giving her too much junk or sugary foods? Ask him to give you an honest opinion for the sake of her health. Also diet foods and drinks can cause laxative effects so I hope this helps. Good luck.

Sounds like she needs to see a gastroenterologist...they specialize in the digestive system...they would probably run some tests to rule out different things...also you may want to see what specifically she's eating at her fathers..and keep a list of what she's eating at both houses and write down her type of reaction to that food...i.e. brocolli gives her more gas etc.....she could have something that is called celiac's...which is an allergy to wheat type products...but it really sounds like she needs to see the specialist and not the GP.....

Get a second opinion, as her mother you have a right to see a specialist. Also you need to keep records of everything she is eating, and cut things out one by one to see if she has any sort of intolerance.

She has a healthy diet? at 10? wow... Maybe thats it. (just kidding!.. so many kids have horrible diets these days, I don't even like alot of veggies... Though I'm getting better at eatting them, and likign them)
I'd suggest have more doctors see her, do your own research too, and talk to the doctor about it.
Good luck!

Is your child lactose intolerant, or gluten etc. My son is lactose intolerant and if he has milk products he does go to the toilet much more.
Maybe at her dads she is eating to much rubbish (take aways, sweets, chocolate) as he is making the most of their time together.
Just some ideas.
