It is one of a few possible things. Either it's the most common, revert backwards phase, that all kids go through, or he is possibly getting sick. Or another thing it could be is if there has been any stress in your home, from you or your spouse? Kids pick up on that so quick. What about teething, getting his two year molars in? Yes they can come in early. So, just for a night or two give in to what he needs or wants and see if you notice any other changes, like fevers, runny nose, etc. Good luck in finding out what's wrong. I wish you the best.

I understand the place you're coming from. My daughter would be a 365 days previous December 10 and that i'm due on the beginning up of February.I too do no longer understand how she would be with a clean toddler reason she became into an in straightforward terms toddler for greater or less 8 months and then her 3 older brothers got here to stay with us. precise now she holds her toddler dolls like babys and provides them hugs and kisses. I basically desire which will proceed while the recent toddler would be right here. She is a daddys woman and actually dont choose no longer something to do with me.I additionally desire there'll be no favoring one over the different. My daughter would be an exceedingly spoiled and hard woman reason she stands out as the only woman with 4 brothers. All i will say is solid success too you.

Check and make sure he isn't tugging at his ears or showing signs of getting sick. Mine would do that when they were getting sick.
However, sometimes they just want a little extra security. Especially if they sense that you are under a little extra stress. About 30 minutes before bedtime... light some lavendar or vanilla candles and turn out the lights... play some classical music, not mozart, he's too jumpy.. and then rock your baby. If he'll drink warm chamomile tea... give him some... caffeine free though.
He'll go to sleep easily and have a peaceful night. You'll be relaxed as well.

very normal at this age. just wait the next thing he will likely do is start screaming when near strangers or friends or family. A wierd thing but a lot of 12-18month old boys do this too. A fun age but don't wish his childhood away, mine are now 7 and I long for those baby days

It sounds like separation anxiety. Totally normal. Your baby is attached to you like glue. He will out grow it. Try to keep the routine as normal as possible for a while, that will help. Also, your son could be teething or getting a little cold. You can give him baby Tylenol or Motrin, if you suspect an illness.

Well i dont know about you. But Ive always held my son and his bottle for him and now hes almost 2 and i hold him while he drinks his sippy..I cannot stand to see parents that prop bottles in there babies mouths.Whats wrong with showing your children you love them and dont mind holding them..One day your not going to be able to do that and you wished you did more often. But if hes always been independant then its a phase ( children are always going through phases) and maybe he just wants to cuddle with mommy . I dont see the problem.

Sometimes, kids go through a regression phase. Chances are, there is something you might be overlooking that is causing the child some anxiety. It's normal, and will usually pass. If not, you might see a doctor to check for any problems.

My son did the same thing around that age. My ped. said that they go through this phase and just need mommy a little more for the time being. Just appreciate it while it lasts..one day he will not want you to hold him at all :)

Sometimes my 2 year old acts like this when she isn't feeling good... could he be getting an ear infection or something? Is his appetite normal? Does he have any fever?
...it's okay to baby him!! He needs it at that age. Maybe he's just going through a phase....

about this age babies get stranger anxiety. it will go away in a few months. Put him down and reassure him that you will be right back. Walk out of the room for a few minute, then come back. Good luck
