We're taking a 2 1/2 week trip to Texas in February and we're driving...this is going to be the longest he's ever had to drive in a car, what should I expect and what should I be prepared with?We are going to stop one night to sleep and we will be stopping to let him get out and stretch his legs.Any tips from any mothers who have brought they're kids on long trips..driving. Oh yeah, we're driving from North Central Wisconsin.

I'm a single parent, I'm pretty irate right now because I'm having babysitter problems. I pay this girl to watch my kids from 6am til 2pm, $70. I asked her to do me a favor and watch them til 5 just this one day cause I was in a huge bind. She said she cannot watch them past 3 because she is going to a friend's house. Then I told her I would give her $80 if she stayed til 5 just this one day. She said it still wasn't enough!!! come on, she's already making $70 a DAY from me on a regular basis for babysitting. That's alot, don't you think? I'm so mad right now, I want to just tell her I don't need her anymore but I have absolutely no one else.

ever since my baby was born (shes 14 months now) and i quit working to be with her, i have pretty much lost contact with all my friends because most of them dont have kids.....my fiancee works nights and when the baby gos to sleep i am so bored after i clean and watch a couple tv shows i like....so if any of you mommies want someone to chat with..share stories or talk and brag about ur kids that would be cool! thanks

I am a 21 year old female with no kids, but I totally disagree with the whole "no spanking, just use time out" crap. I think that's why we have a bunch of kids raising the parents, disobeying their parents, and parents are going crazy. I HATE physical abuse (I was subject to some myself), but there is a difference between abuse and spanking, people. Sometimes physical action is needed so the child will know that you are serious and that what they did was very wrong. Sometimes talking just isn't enough, and kids take you to play with if all you do is talk. What do you think? Again, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SPANKING AND PHSYICAL ABUSE!

like clothes, childhood stuff, and other random stuff in my old room. well i got a call from my mother today which basically was to tell me that a distant (the 16year old daughter of my mothers cousin) relative from europe will be living in my old room for 6 months. i am kinda irked by this, just because there is still alot of very personal stuff in my room, and i dont want some teenager who i havent seen or spoken to since i was 12 living in my old room. but my mothers point is that im not living there so what should the problem be, and i agree with her to an extent but im still very bothered. i dont know this girl... i would be different if i knew her, or at least had met her more than 1 time, but that is just the case. i have only met her 1 time.... am i wrong to be bothered???? regardless of how i feel this is going to happen, any suggestions on how i can feel more comfortable about this? eww....she is gonna sleep in my bed, use my closet & shower, use my dressers....

i have children and i'm sick of people ignoring them, they have been hit with bags, had fags thrown into their buggys, and pushed to the back of q's then they wonder why kids have no manners these days!

My husband spend a lot of money on lawyers and he never files to reduce child support even are paying the same and we have 4 kids since then. we pay airplane tickets and his ex change the date and the time or ask her son to call us and pretend to be sick or busy.
I am so frustrated when i talk about it he gets mad and live the house.
what can I do to save my marriage and get my husband ex from manupilating us and distroying my life.
we pay airplane ticket to go to courts + hotel + gifs to my step son and when my husband is there he can't see him cause his son is busy.
when he visit he lack himself in the room, watch TV or sleep until his dad return from work . Never play with his brother's who adores him.
do you think this is fair.
please help me I am going crasy.

i am trying to teach my 6yr. old sister to read because she is going into kindergarten. does anyone have any fun tips or activites so she can learn how to read??? I really want her to be succesful. and anyfun learning games to help her read would be great!!! thanks and if you have links please add those!!
