If he's not 'understanding' this without you telling him - he won't. . . get some outside help from your local DA's office, or whomever takes care of that kind of thing, where you live.

I am in the same boat with my daughters father. Except he don't even want to see her anymore. Luckily I am with a wonderful man who wants to adopt her, and in 6 months he will be able to. There really is nothing you can do if youhave already talked to child support services. They usually will just open a case, and if they can find him they will handle it. If they don't find him, then they will eventually close the case. That's what they did to me, anyway. If the father is still seeing him regularly, then bug him about it. Tell him that you are not the only one that hopped into bed and he needs to take responsibility. Hopefully he will eventually get the hint. Some men are just pieces of s**t. All we can do as women, is take care of our babies the best way that we can. You're son will thank you for it.

Take him to family court. If he still refuses to pay child support, even after ordered by a judge, then his wages can have the child support deducted and set aside for your son.

You cannot make him understand that. He either understands or he doesn't. Parents dont have to be told to raise their children. They do because they are parents. If they need to be told to pay support something isn't right. If you feel you can eventually "make him understand" then wait and see. But I dont want you to feel sorry and regret later on. I think you should immediately file for child support papers in the family court of your jurisdiction. Believe me, emotions dont do anything. Actions always speak, louder than words. If he doesn't have the paternal instinct then make the court rule for your baby. Please.

Good luck with that.

That's what child support enforcement is for.... but if he's a deadbeat, then you probably aren't going to get anything anyway. Be glad that you know you can rule him out as a potential partner.

Take him to court if he doesnt want to pay it....of leave your son with him for a few weeks and let him see its not cheap to pay for a child by yourself.

Ive been fighting for 11 years and mine refuses to pay, If he is court ordered to pay and he dosent you need to go to the court house and file a motion for contempt and they will arrest him, maybe then he will learn sometimes they dont like in my case jail dont scare the looser

Ya, the courts don't like this one. Perhaps tell him he has the choice of paying you properly or you'll get the government to intervene. And they'll go after his paycheck.

Dont get him to understand..Give him an ultimatum..He pays up now or it goes to court and he ends up paying more..This should get the ball rolling!
