I'm 18 yrs old and my 13yr old cousin (Harley) just had a baby(Melissa).In which I am the godmother of. The baby was born on the 10th of Feb and she is a premie. Well the home (trailer) that Harley and Melissa live in is horriable it's almost impossiable to live in. 5 people in a 2 bedroom. To make a long story short. Harley is being neglected(spelled wrong). Her gardian refuses to help. Everything that melissa has, was bought for her from my family Also stuff from Wic.No one wants to help her out because all that everyone cares about is are their drugs and booze. Harley is young yet mature, she stays very stressed out. I help as much as I can. I just don't understand how blood can turn down this 13 yr old child and refuse to help her. Yes she shouldn't even be having sex but I respect her for keeping her baby. How do I get Harley and Melissa to live with me. I dont want it to get ugly. What are the TN laws? (Im from Illinois) Im just stressed and hurt about the whole situation.

I babysat this child from August to December 2006. I tried over and over to get the mother to delice the poor child but the woman claimed she couldn't because she was pregnant. I tried calling social services to make her delice her child and home but they don't deal with lice. I still watch the child off and on. I have tried repeatedly to delice the child but there are way too many bugs and at least 6 lice eggs per strand of hair. Clue on how this "woman" is. Her 4 yr old is for one man, her 11 month old is for another man, and she has another child with another man who is about to turn two months old. I don't want to stereotype but she is nasty. Advice. The 11 month old has had lice twice. The father has joint custody of his baby and he is sick of it and so am I. The father is nothing like the mother. She left the father when se found out she was pregnant and told him to have nothing to do with her nor his baby. So he took her o court. I need advice on the lice! Help!

I'm trying to get a DVD set for my 2 boys, 3 and 1 and a half years, they love Elmo, and will truly appreciate if someone not using the codes would mail them thank you.
Here's the info:
The code is 15 digits and is found on packages/bags/bins of diapers and wipes. It's found in the same grouping as the website (www.pampers.com) and an expiration date for when the codes must be used by. On diapers purchased in bags, it's on a white label inside the package, diapers sold in boxes will have the codes on the plastic wrap for each individually wrapped section of diapers in the box. For wipes, if purchased in a tub, it's on the inside of the lid and for refills it's on each individually wrapped package of wipes. On the wipes, there's another "code" on them somewhere that often gets confused for the correct one, but if you remember that it's a 15 digit code that's found in the same place as the website/expiration date info you can't miss it

I'm really not sure what I want to name my son yet cause I haven't decided on a name. If i'm still unsure can I name him a few days after the birth or will the hospital give me a hard time? Im also due in 39 days

My wife and I have been happily married for a few years and have a young child. We didn't have sex for most of the pregnancy (8 mos) and almost five months after the baby was born. Although I tried to make her feel sexy, I didn't press the issue during the pregnancy. We finally had sex a few times, but now it's been a month and a half. She now says sex is painful for her, and has seen a doctor, but no cause was found. Although we've talked about finding some middle ground, we can't find something good for both of us, and I'm starting to feel like my needs are taking a backseat. My thought is that if she wanted it but it was painful for me, I would suck it up, every once in a while, or find another way to meet her needs. If anyone has thoughts or advice or similar experience, please share.

My little girl will be two next week, and has been the only child (grandbaby too) for two years. She will have a baby brother or sister in 6 months and I have no problem admitting she is very spoiled. I plan on keeping her involved, she is even going to my first ultrasound next week. Do any of you have any advice on how to get her ready for this new addition to our family?

He is not teething,sick or anything like that. He is well fed all day and gets cereal right before bedtime. I'm still nursing him and he doesn't want to eat when he wakes up at night he just cries until you pick him up. As soon as i pick him up he stops immediately.He has never slept for more then 5 hours only once. I'm exhausted & he is getting up 6x's a night and barely sleeps for more than 1 hour. I tried cry it out for about a week with him because my doctor said to & it didn't workat all. I did the controled method a few weeks later and let him cry for a 2,4,6 minutes no more than 8 minutes. It seemed to start working right away and he was sleeping longer strecthes but then after a week he started getting up again several times a night so after the second week i gave up from exhaustion. Does anyone know the jist of the No cry sleep solutions I don't have the time nor the energy to read the book. If someone could please just give me the basics so i can try it tonite.Please Help ME

My siblings and I all have the same initials and I want to do the same thing with my kids. Our first names are short 3-4 letters and start w/ K and our middle names are longer 6-7 letters and start w/ D.

What do you think about the name Kale Donovan for a boy, likes, dislikes, can you think of one better?

The only thing I have for a girl so far is I want her middle name to be Dakota, but the first name still needs to start with a K and be 3-4 letters long. Any good ideas?

I guess I want to vent and get some advise. I am 25 pregnant by my boyfriend of three years. We are very happy about our child we are bringing into our lives. I told my parents last night about my pregnancy they were not happy but they were not made. They are disappointed that me and my boyfriend are not married and we are having a child. I guess that is how all parents would react. But what I was told by them was that I need to make my boyfriend marry now before the baby gets her. And if he does not marry me to have nothing to do with him. Don’t see him , don’t let him see the baby and take him for all the child support that I can. Am I wrong for feeling that that is a terriable thing to do..I feel as though me and my boyfriend will get married one day we have talked about it before even before I knew I was pregnant but why rush and do it now just cause of a baby. Is that going to make the marriage last, is that really going to help our child. Or us loving and caring and providing for the child what matters most married or not. Any advise. Should I tell my boyfriend look marry me or its over or should I continue to try to work this out and us be a family and see what the future holds for us. So confused. Has anyone else been thru this?

Ever since my sister in law had a baby, my mother in law keeps hinting that they are going to send her over to us. The baby is 24 months old and we live 3000 miles away.

Now my sister in law is having another baby and is due in July and last time we talked to her, she told me that she's going to send the baby over to us.

I said "you're tired of the baby already".

My husband and I don't have kids and we both work.

I want to tell them, that our house is not baby proof and we don't have time to babysit a child that it's parents live 3000 miles away.

Not sure if this is common and I'm trying to find a way of telling them this, without sounding mean.

Does anyone know the reasoning for having kids and wanting to ship them off to other people. With no knowledge as to how to take care of them.

When the time i got pregant i was emotionally depress. On my 6 weeks of pregnacy i drink alot of alcohol and fell to the stairs.after 3 weeks i went to my doctor and ask me to have an ultra sound test to make sure everything is okey. the result is fine but what are the things that it will cause to my baby afterwards?what can emotional depression do to my baby?

Here is my situation....I have been on the birth control pill for two full months now. I am on my period and my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex yesterday morning. I called my doctor this morning and she said it was very unlikely that I would become pregnant. I know the doctors advice is best but can anyone out there make me feel more assured? Thanks!

I was out to dinner last night and saw a very pregnant woman Smoking. I asked the waiter if somking was allowed and he said no. They came and told her there was no smoking , and she made a had a fit, saying it was " her right"

Im 18 weeks pregnant , I dont smoke or allow anyone to smoke near my children. I just think it should be treated as child abuse if a pregnant mom is smoking. It would be Child abuse if you were making your 2 yr old to smoke, the mother is MAKING the baby smoke as well.

In Indiana they are trying to pass a law no smoking with kids in the car....... Should babies in the womb not count in that?
