My husband and I are unable to have children. The father to the child is gone without any way to find him and had three different names, none of them viable. My husband and I want this baby, but cannot afford the whole adoption procedure. I am told that my husband could voluntary acknowledge the baby as his own and we could get custody of that baby. Is this correct?

Im with a man I love VERY much, and ive just confirmed that I'm pregnant. When i first suspected it he took a few days to himself, he freaked a little, bc we're both still in University and his fears would be that neither of us would get to finish our degrees. On the car ride home from the Dr this morning, he talked about gettin married "so we'd be doing this right". I know it would be the best thing for both of our families and no doubt our child.I love him soo much, we've been together for a year and a half, during which time he's always said he loves me, but he's never mentioned marriage before. It bothers me that the baby is the reason he wants to marry me. Are his reasons wrong? I want to be his wife, but i would be wrong to marry him? - - please don't think I tried to "trap him".

My boyfriend isnt ready for a family yet like most guys arnt and I really wanna have a baby.. Were both 23 years old and finacially stable and all I can think of is how much I wanna be a mummy.. is that bad..? I find myself wanting to cry every once in a while for I feel like that something is missing.. Like the one little boy I do have is my nephew his mum and dad consider him mine for he is like me in everyway and because he spent his first two weeks of life with me due to his mum was soo ill shes ok now thou... So hes got that special bond with me and leaving to go home just made all of what I have been through with him just sadder and making me wanna have that for my own.. I love my nephew so much hee hee.. my mum says I dont need to have a baby for they had my kid for me I just shake my head for I find everyone just jokes about it all with me when Im actually being serious... I dunno what do you think ??

I have read over checklist after checklist of items to take to the hospital and to have for a newborn when you come home. I know someone will have to make a few trips to the store while I am in labor and after we get home with our baby, but what are some things that you wanted in the hospital that you didn't pack or just some things that made your stay better? Also, what are the things you couldn't live without or had to have when you brought your baby home. I have alot of things but I am trying to get first hand experience on what all I should have to minimize trips to the store ( I live in the middle of nowhere )
Thanks!

Alydaeus? I want a unique name for my daughter, and Alydaeus suits her. She can go by Aly for short :). I really don't like the popular names, and this name just make her seem so unique and special :). What do you think of the name?

How or what should be the deciding factor in the baby's name? They both say that because I automatically get the last, it shouldn't be up to me to have say in the first and middle names. What should I do?

When single, or any underaged, girls have their babies, is it fair to the grandparents for the babies to become their responsibilities? [and we can forget the irresponsible boys in this, right?] I do not mean during an ocassional weekend, I mean full-time.

I'm over the hill, but history shows that so many who have children when very young, and not married, tend to dump the kids on the grandparents because they "ain't got time" to bother with them.

Is this fair? The GrParents already gave it all for their children, now they have to give it all again for the grandchildren?

No wonder other nations/cultures have a low view of us in general. We can't even take care of our own but expect someone else to do it for us.

I live with my parents and my 3 kids,my mom has custody of her, I have lived within 1-2 miles of her or with her all her life.i ask a question about giving up my right last night and was severely chriticised over it, my mom has had custody of her since she was a baby, she won't give me custody of her back, my mom wanted to have another child ,but was diagnosed with cervical cancer at 22, and she took my child to raise to help me because i was married at 16 and my husband turned out to be a child molester and a drunk and beat me, i got out of that situation quickly, but she still won't give her back, and i cope with that, but i have always been in my daughters life and always will be, and my two other children are autistic, so find out the whole story before you judge someone from now on.

She just dosent understand and continues to ask every night and it just turns into a fight with her crying and me sleeping in the other room. Its driving me to insanity!!

OK I have been on my period for twoo weeks now. This is the second week and it is very heavy, blood clots, and bad cramps. My normal cycle is medium not many cramps and about 4 days. Last month I skipped my period by not taking my inactive pills in my birthcontrol, I did still start my new pack. I did not go any days with out my birth control pills. I started my period mid- month, which has never happened before. I have skipped pills like this before and had no spotting, now I have full fledge bleeding worse than ever before. WHats wrong? I called my doctor 2x and he said it was normal but I do not think it is. What could be wrong?

I've been researching this topic for what seems (and probablely has been) years. The pill is not effective (on me) and neither is the depo shot. Women who breastfeed cannot be on the patch or the "ring." I've been reading about this new Mirena IUC (not an IUD, this one is called an IUC). I don't want an IUD because the only thing the do is prevent a fertilized egg from attaching (this is no better than the day after pill!). The Mirena website is iffy on whether or not breastfeeding mothers can use it. I'm just wondering if anyone out there is breast feeding and has the Mirena IUC? Or if not, (please only answer if you are/have been on birth control while breast feeding) what kind of birth control method do/did you use? (And don't tell me you can't get pregnant while breastfeeding, I'm currently carrying a child concieved while I was breastfeeding) I intend to discuss this with my OB/GYN. But it's a bit early to bring it up and I'm just looking into possibilities right now.
