Oh my gosh hun in this day and age that hardly EVER happens...especially if you give birth in a medical setting...c-sections and blood transfusions are all available now and your birth team will all be right there you have like no reason to worry about this...

Worry more about the responsibility of a baby at ur age...

Dont worry! You're delivering with medical professionals. Child birth is pretty low risk in the grand scheme of things.

Go into the birth with a great positive attitude that Billions of women have done this and that you are looking forward to experiencing this miracle. Enjoy it, because you'll miss it when it's done!

Good luck.,

Like most young people, you are thinking about the wrong thing. It is not the birth you should worry about -- the real problems come after that. You are responsible for this child for 18 years -- as long as you yourself have been alive. Think what that will mean to your freedom and how you live your life. Are you sure you want to take on all that right now????

HAVING A CHILD THESE DAYS IS A WHOLE LOT BETTER THEN WAY BACK YEARS AGO,THEY HAVE BETTER EQUIPTMENT AND KNOWLEDGE NOW THEN THEY DID BEFORE TO MAKE SURE THAT THINGS GO RIGHT,SO THE CHANCE IS STILL THERE AS WITH ANY SURGERY OR OPERATION BUT IT IS VERY SLIM,I HAVE HAD 4 CHILDREN AND HAD NO PROBLEMS DURING CHILD BIRTH,NOT TO SAY THAT NOBODY ELSE HAS HAD ANY PROBLEMS.MOST PEOPLE WHO OUR HEALTHY AND EVERYTHING IS OK WITH THE BABY DO JUST FINE. BUT I WOULD SUGGEST SPEAKING WITH YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT ALL THE RISKS AND FACTS IF YOU ARE WORRIED...

I would not worry about that. Enjoy your pregnancy. As long as you have a competent physician and are seen on a regular basis and do all that is instructed of you, you should be just fine. In foreign countries, like Pakistan, there are still a number of women who do die during pregnancy, due to deficiency of blood (maybe placenta previa), high blood pressure, heart disease or infection. They often do not have the same high level of medical care that is available here in the U.S.

The chances are slim. Very few woman die during childbirth nowadays. You might want to find out if you're pregnant before stressing over things that could happen way in the future or possibly never happen at all. Also, all the stressing you're doing could be why your period is late.(if that's what is making you think you're pregnant)

Statisticly speaking, the United Nations records say that aproximately 99.5% of births in the US happen without complications mainly due to the advanced technology doctors now posess.

It varies a lot. The overall rate for mothers to die in as a result of childbearing was 7.1 out of 100,000 in the U.S. in 1998. That means that it's very rare, although there are differences based on age of the mother. In some parts of Africa, though, it's horrifyingly high -- up to 1800 per 100,000, almost two out of a hundred women.

In this day and age sweety that is not likely unless you completely skip medical attention through your pregnancy and birth. There are girls that give birth at age 12! If you are a healthy person, you shouldn't die.

PS
It will feel like you are...........opt for the epidural!
