I am pro-choice (and a parent of two children). Frankly, I am not sure I'd ever be able to have an abortion, but I'd like that decision to be MINE. It is not something the churches, government, or anyone else should be able to decide for me. It is a procedure that should remain safe and legal for those women (and girls)who feel it is their only option. She's the one who will have to live with the decision. The rest of the world should stay out of it.

This is such a personal and difficult decision. Either choice is one the individual will have to live with forever. I do wish more people where more responsible before conceiving and when they are not step up to the plate and give a life a chance. My dad is an adoptee and I am always thankful that we where chosen to live. That having been said. I also feel that an unwanted pregnancy is the most difficult thing to bear and laws have absolutely no place in this matter. Before abortions were legal so many needless deaths occurred due to botched attempts at the procedure women merely trying to survive themselves some impregnated by family members or after a sexual assault. There were other innocent women who died needlessly simply because they were pregnant and denied medical attention because they were miscarrying on there own and Doctors could be considered an accomplice to an abortion for helping them. The speculation that anyone would use this procedure as a form of birth control is ridiculous. Especially since most women in order to cope with the terrible loss conceive again within 1 -2 years and keep the child. Anyone who is all upset about it being optional in the US out to look at China where it is mandatory for population control. Now that is a real crime. and that is all I have to say about that.

I'm against abortion. On my opinion, killing a child while he or she is still in your stomach is worser than killing them when they already saw the world. I mean, whether or not they are out of the stomach, this is still a life you are killing. And in the end, you will regret. You will regret ever aborting the child like that. No matter how hard it is, you should never kill a innocent child like that. When people tell others to go for an abortion, they are wrong. Especially selfish parents. When they tell their daughter to go and abort the kid inside the body, they never think about how the duaghter would feel. The never look at it the other way around. They always assume that their daughter is better off living this way. But they never think, what if their mother told them to abort this daughter? They never think like that. So that's why I'm against abortion

I agree with it as long as methods involved are safe for the woman. Many people argue that the it´s not the child´s fault if s/he is the result of an unwanted pregnancy or, in the worst of the cases,a rape but if a woman is not ready to bear and deliver a child, she should have the right to choose whether she wants to go on with the pregnancy or not.
Having a baby is something that cannot be taken lightly and is a very big responsibility so it should occur only when the 2 parents want it to.
I would like to add that in case of a rape, no woman would like to have a child that resembled her attacker.

I dont agree with abortion. A fetus is a baby, if it is breathing and eating and moving then its living therefore you'd be killing. I am the mother of a 4 month old. It was an unplanned pregancy but i'm happy, we are happy and not once did abortion cross our minds. If anything, I knew there were people that would be happy to adopt a newborn so abortion wasnt an option. i do believe that women should have the right to choose, however not at the expense of loosing a life. And no matter how you look at it an unborn child is a alive, its a living being and taking that life away is murder.

For it For it For it!!!
A woman or couple (whatever the case) has the right to chose what they want to do. A fetus is not human? If a fetus is human, then sperm and the egg are human. Keep the government out of the bedroom!
also, if abortion was ever outlawed, there would be off-shore hackships, girls with hangers ripping up their bodies.

I am against abortion because it is just another easy way out. People need to realize that actions have consequences. This is not like you are cutting out a tumor. Abortion procedures also have consequences such as scarring mentally and physically.
However! ~ ! This issue is not a clear cut one (no pun intended). There are various gray areas such as pregnancy due to rape and incest. Ectopic pregnancies and pregnancies where the mother is too physically sick to be able to bring the child to term. In these cases abortion is justified.
I have heard of cases where women use abortion as a type of birth control. This is where it is not.

Healthy pregnant women with a healthy fetus should never opt for abortion for it is a very immoral thing to do. Abortion, if not properly done could result in infected or damaged uterus and the woman will never be able to conceive again.
However, abortion can be justified if the baby would have SEVERE physical deformities or mental problems which will prevent him or her from leading a normal life. Also, I think a woman who is infected with HIV should opt for abortion since the child would have to face several physical and emotional problems if it were to be born.

Absolutely against it. They have taken video of abortions and what they do is tear the baby apart and suck it up into a vacuum. The baby knows this is happening and even a young fetus moves away from the instruments to try to "escape." It is a horribly inhumane thing to do. If there was a serious, absolute, no chance of being wrong diagnosis that the baby was to be born dead with absolutely no chance of survival, then they can induce labor. I had this done at 4 months along when we discovered that the baby was developing without a brain. There was no way the baby could survive. That was the best option from a list of horrible options. And I speak from experience that it is extremely hard even when it is the right decision. I still mourn the loss of this baby (we named him Thomas Raymond and had him buried with my grandfather) after 5 years. Remember that there is a loving family who would care for and love the baby and the best option if you are not able or willing to care for a child is adoption.

I personally think that abortion is murder, plain and simple. If you aren't ready to handle the responsibility of a kid you should either give the baby up for adoption or not have sex. There are way too many people in the world who would love to be parents and can't for various reasons, giving one of them a baby would be the greatest gift you could give. Plus, have you noticed all the people who are for abortion have already been born and don't have to worry about someone aborting them?
