If you are pay for it or some of it then you have a right to know. Tell them you will cut them off financially if you don't see the grades.

If they don't want to show you their grades and you're the one flipping the bill, then just let them know that THEY will pay for every class that they have to take over and if they lose a scholarship as a result of it, then they flip the whole bill. But, I would definitely find out the reason for the grades. If it's only one or two bad grades, then be sure that they're not just struggling with the class. I'm currently a college student myself and my parents were highly demanding of me my very first semester. I didn't pass my math class (that was the only class) and I got accused of a lot of things. So, just be sure to find out why and try to be open. But, if they're being stupid about it, let em' learn the hard way!

I don't have kids in college, but I do think that if you are paying for their college education then you have every right to know their grades and what is going on. Just my opinion.

As a former college student, the only times I wasn't willing to share grades with my parents was when they weren't very good. If you're footing the bill, you have every right to know, good or bad. If they won't tell, pull the funding.

Yes. I am paying for their college, so if their grades show that they either aren't applying themselves, or taking their education seriously enough to pass the classes, then I'm not paying for it. That's a lot of money to throw away on failure.

I think if you are paying for their college, then you should be able to know. If not, and they are over 18, then its none of your business.
