As most know now I am to be married in May. I am 17 and have lived with my fiancee (who is also 17) since October. We live along with my 3 year old daughter who loves my fiancee and even calls her mom at times. My daughters real mom moved away last year and left our girl behind with me. So me and my fiancee are raising her. My fiancee would like to adopt my daughterafter we get married but my little girls real mom has refused to concent. Her mom left her, signed away custody to me, acutally said she had no intrest in her, and has not came back once to see her or even called her. But still she refuses to give my fiancee concent to adopt. Is there any way my future wife can adopt my daughter without her real moms permission?

I am 36 years old and far removed from their lifestyle. They are going through a lot of trouble to throw me a very special baby shower. I would like to reflect my thanks in the form of a gift. A thank-you card just doesn't seem like enough.
I would like to keep the price range 15.00 or less for each girl.

I'm well into the assessment now...I will be fostering a young child (under 5) for at least 1 weekend a month to give the birth family some respite. I can cope with the medical aspects of the care, but the child may be autistic or at least have behavioural problems. Any advice would be welcome...setting and maintaining boundaries, coping mechanisms for me...calming the child and making it feel at home...dealing with the fostering process...etc. I'm pretty calm by nature and am used to dealing with difficult situations (work in critical care) but having a child is a huge responsiblity and I want to be prepared...serious answers only please.

I just ran across an interesting site and thought I would see what all of you thought about it as well. Child molesters is not what most of care to even think about -however it exists and something needs to be done with the judicial system so that these despicable persons are not allowed to abuse or continue abusing. We have talked about this at work and some say pity the abuser that it probably happened to them - my thoughts are - my aunt was murdered and that affected me - am I going to become a murderer? This site is really informative. I have checked the family watchdog one but I like this one because it has all the states on 1 page and you just go to your state type in your zip code or whatever info you want and bam youre there pics info & all. Also can download the free magazine they print. I thought it was very informative. Check it out and tell me what you think - www.variety-variedad.com I am waiting for an answer back from whoever prints this to see if we can subscribe

Say someone I knew was pregnant, and she didn't know how or if she should tell her parents. If you had a 14 year old kid that said she was pregnant, what would you think, but what if that girl had also told you a week before she was lesbian, and you were already mad.

Ok i think every1 has there right to an opinion on this subject but what P****s me off is that u have no right to judge others. I believe every1 has the right to live the way they choose. it is not ur body so u have no right to judge the person who chooses to smoke while pregnant. Good for you if u do not smoke when ur pregnant. How safe do u think it is to be standing at a busy intersection and breathe in all the car and truck fumes?? R u now going to stop walking anywhere there are cars and trucks? Let people live the life they want and keep you opinions to urself. if some1 came up to me and went off at me for smoking i would smack them in the face. it is a personal choice and it is my body and my life so please dont judge unless u have all the facts.

My husband and I need to find a way to compromise on sex. We had a baby 7mos. ago. During the pregnancy and after the birth, I felt very uncomfortable with my body, despite his attentiveness and compliments, and very uninterested in sex. After the c-section, I had a lot of pain & some bleeding. We didnt' have sex for 8mos of the pregnancy and for 5 months after. When we finally did, there was a lot of pain and some bleeding. (fyi, not lack of lube) I've been seeing a doctor, so far tests have turned up negative. It's been a month and a half since we had sex, & I cannot easily give him oral because of his size and my gag reflex. My husband is beginning to become impatient, and says he feels his needs are being ignored. It's been a month and a half since we had sex, & I cannot easily give him oral because of his size and my gag reflex.

Married...Yes, really. Now how long do you think it will take them to get pregnant? What are their odds of conceiving? I know the female of perfect age and the male probably lower sperm count because of his age. Is their chance just as good as anybody? Look at Donald Trump. Please give me a percentage is you can or personal experience. Thanks.

Ok, me and my gf had unprotected sex back in december, and then in January, she missed her period by like a week or so...and when it finally came, she said it was VERY light. Now she is exhausted all the time, twice as hungry, and says she has an occasional morning sickness (or what she thinks to be morning sickness). We went and got one of those little pregnancy testers from a local drugstore but it came out negative...(note: this was like early January when she took it) Could this pregnancy test have been wrong? Could she be pregnant?

My husband had a vasectomy in September and has never gone in to get a sperm count. The first day of my last period was Feb. 8th, we had sex on the 20th and I had light pink spotting on the 22nd only when I wiped. Could this be early pregnancy signs. We have 2 kids and it only took one try each to conceive.

I'm not trying to be judgemental but how could you stand to have so many children close in age calling or crying for you every second of the day. How do you provide personal attention when a new thing comes up every minute? It's just something I have always been curious about and I saw this program on TV about the people who have like 15 kids!

The question is: is it common for baby showers to be held for second children? What is the etitiquite is in a situation like this--do we register? Do we not?

Well, sometimes when I am just thinking I start to think about myself and all the mistakes I've made and how unperfect I am, like I'm overweight (130 at 5'1"!!!! but people say its all pregnancy weight) but never have the nerve to lose weight... how no one ever pay attention to me... i'm about to have a child and am totally freak out...etc, etc. I stay in this little depression moment for about an hour or two, then someone finally has the sense to snap me out of it. Then my husband usually comforts me and I feel better, but those little "moments" continue to happen frequently. How can I get rid of them?
