I just ran across an interesting site and thought I would see what all of you thought about it as well. Child molesters is not what most of care to even think about -however it exists and something needs to be done with the judicial system so that these despicable persons are not allowed to abuse or continue abusing. We have talked about this at work and some say pity the abuser that it probably happened to them - my thoughts are - my aunt was murdered and that affected me - am I going to become a murderer? This site is really informative. I have checked the family watchdog one but I like this one because it has all the states on 1 page and you just go to your state type in your zip code or whatever info you want and bam youre there pics info & all. Also can download the free magazine they print. I thought it was very informative. Check it out and tell me what you think - www.variety-variedad.com I am waiting for an answer back from whoever prints this to see if we can subscribe

Something else - the ones that are released how should they be handled when they are living amongst us? One guy I know says that they should have an identifiable mark, another says they should wear GPS monitors at their expense & if they cant pay for the service of the GPS they cant get out of jail. Another one said that there is an island somewhere for just sex offenders...is that true?

One other thing - I have 10 kids. Most of them are grown but if someone ever hurt one of my kids I think it would make me balistic. We have a friend who was abused by her stepfather and she has alot of issues all her life. She cant stay in relationships and she drinks alot and she has a compulsive eating disorder. I think the affects of abuse are worse than if someone murdered them. I agree about this informative website. I liked the info that was there and the state links.

They shouldn't be released. Case in point, recently where my boyfriend lives, this women was murdered where she worked. Come to find out, the guy that "sexually battered" her and killed her had been in jail for "sexual battery" for like thirty years and they let him out early, and then he got out and did it again, only this time he killed the poor girl. If he had been in jail, where he should have been, this wouldn't have happened. Any kind of sexual offender, child molester or otherwise should be thrown under the jail if not shot. I have no pity for someone who commits crimes of a horrible sexual nature.

That's a hard subject. I had a a friend who was only 16 molest me when I was 5. He admitted he had did so, but has paid all his life for what he did and is not one who would do such again. Many are not like this but he has paid tenfold for what he did. The worse part to me though is that even with a family he will be seen as a sex offender. Why a boy himself would do something to someone that young is beyond me, but I do know that he was molested from age 3 to 16, but do not think that everyone who is a molester has been sexually molested themselves. It affects you and you can never forget what was done. It's why this issue is hard for me. I am 24 now and I still remember every detail. I will be sure to talk to my son and daughter about the issue (about being sexually touched in anyway) because at 5 I didn't know these things were wrong or that it was wrong to do (I didn't know the word sex) let alone know there was something wrong with it. There was no penetration, but does not make it any better. But, I just think he has paid for what he has done. We are still close but I can never forget it happened. But I truly forgave him a long time ago. Also, not all sexually molested people have trouble. I have a loving husband and we have been married for 4 years together before that 2 years. We are expecting our first child in the end of July to the beginning of Aug. I do not have issues even though I still know everything, I do not live it. I was never sexually promiscuous and never looked at it as scary or anything else. I think it was because I was able to cope at an early age and I had support of family during that time. Also, I would never put my child through what happened to me. And I hope the law found out before I did because Lorenna Bobbit would be looking like (not serious btw but only because I'm not a law breaker) a saint compared to me. As a person it was done to, I can say very few people change, but there are some. It would take everything though not to do anything I would regret. Of course I want to take care of my child and would do no good in jail, but this is the mother to be in me talking.

first....I think anyone that hurts a child should just be put down

that's what we do to a dog that bites right?

second, I thought I'd let you know about a website one of my buddies found interesting.

there seems to be a lot of trouble with internet solicitation of young people these days....www.pervertedjustice.com actually catches these people in the act! They sign on to an instant messengar as a young boy or girl. When they are solicited they confirm all the information they can, phone numbers, addresses.....ect. When the time is right, they go get these people and prosecute them! Then they post all the messages between the "pervert" and the child they thought they were talking to on their site. They even post the accused IM screen name, and the site will tell you if they're online or not!

It's scary what some people will do to harm a little person. As for me, I won't and never will allow one of my child around the internet without constant supervision! I wouldn't let them talk to someone they don't know, just like I wouldn't let someone I don't know babysit for me.

I liked the site very much. I am a divorced father of 2 children and this really hits me where I live. If some pervert molested my little 14 year old girl I would absolutly lose it for sure! It is easy to say throw the key away and lock em up but, I wonder if there is help for these guys. I am not an advocate for our malfunctioning judicial system but, I am curious as to what makes these guys tick. Personally I aplaud every single mom out there. They live it every single day and in my eyes are the true heroes in society. They try so hard! My very best friend in all of life is a single mother of two wonderful children. She's my friend, piller of strength, my heroe! To me she's the real deal! If a guy walked in and hurt one of those kids, I just don't know what I would do but I am sure I would loose it. I love this woman very much and her children are just to my heart my own kids. I couldn't love them more if they were. I am thankful for sites like this.

There are so many feelings about this subject its hard to completely agree or disagree. Personally i think that they should be punished very badly but at the same time they should be helped to. I had a bad experience at 7 at even though i wish i could make him feel all the things that have helped complicate my life because of what he did, i also dont hate him because i believe anger and hate and holding grudges does more damage to you then anyone. Something does need to be done, i wish there was a way we could tell if they have been helped or not. I think its sad that when they do go back into society they are just trying to start again and no one wants them anywhere near them and yet for all we no they could be cured. Fear enough to want your kids to be safe but we dont react as bad to murderers.

Any one that harms a child should have their Balls cut off. They know what they are doing and would even ignore a childs crys and pleadings when they are carrying out their dispicable acts..There are many people in the world who may have a fantasy about children and are most probably ashamed of it but they would never carry out this fantasy because they would hate themselfs if they ever harmed a child. Thats the difference between sick perverts who dont control themselfs and have no desire to control themselfs. They will prey on children for their own self gratification. I would kill anybody that would harm my children in such a way..

I was molested when I was 6yrs old and I would NEVER molest a child myself. Whoever said that they should pity the offender cause it was probably done to them as a child obviously hasn't been molested. I have been depressed since it happened (20yrs ago) and I go thru moments where I don't want to be alive anymore. I've been married for 8yrs and when I have sex with my husband (who I love with all my heart) I feel dirty sometimes. When I was going thru puberty, I used to bath my body in bleach water. I don't feel dirty all the time anymore, but it happens enough to where I would never in my life wish this upon anyone.

Child molesters...or any sex crimes for that matter...should be put in prison for life. They should get the death penalty. They should be slowly tortured just like their victims who have to live with what happened to them everyday for the rest of their lives.

Child molesters are worse than murders. They take away a child's innocence and that affects them their whole life. I wish there was a way to rid the world of them once and for all.
