I was born 8 weeks early in 1961.... They would give me no more than a 50% chance of living... I'm not sure of the record at that point... but I did much better than other babies born even more prematurely. Hope that helps... not an answer, but additional information, for sure..

I was born 3 months early in July 1964 at 29 ounces at Methodist Hospital. My tongue was not developed and stuck to the roof of my mouth. When I was touched the skin peeled away from my body so I was incubated. I was told that I was born blind and my heart stopped several times. I was not expected to live...but I am still here today with children of my own.
