Can a child be taken from a home because it is filthy? If so how bad filthy would it have to be? How would you report it?

if you read a question with the sentence....

"do we as women just make things harder on ourselves by insisting about worrying about every single thing?"

Would you assume the questioner was a man or a woman? I think it makes it pretty clear that it is a woman. Made me realize that some people really don;t read the whole question before firing off an answer. So I am wondering, do you read the whole question before answering?

The doctor always says to have children in your 20's. Is this true what if your not ready. Do any women ever feel pressure by the medical society to hurry up and have a baby....so you wont have problems. Whos to say you wont have problems in your 20. Im 25 and im just curious how do other women feel about this....

Lately my husband and I have felt pretty distant. I love him so much he means the world to me and I don't mean to snap at him when I am doing things. I am just fustrated because I am in pain because my baby is kicking the living crap out of me inside I cant wait till she comes out. but how do I let him know that he still means the most to me and that I still love him. How do I do that? Any suggestions?

She has her heart set on this name I think, but she asked me If I liked it or not. I lied and told her it was cute. But I really don't like it. I know it has nothing to do if I like it or not. Is this something that should be a little white lie so I don't hurt her feelings? The name is Mason, and all I think about when I hear that name is mason jars!

Here is my 5th stinkin time to post this question. Maybe I will get an answer THIS time.

These are questions about pregnancy. And i really need some answers.

1. Does cocoa butter really help from getting stretch marks?

2. Does scratching your body cause stretch marks or is that just a myth?

3. Do boobs become saggy and shrink after giving birth? (sorry to put so blunty)

4. How long did it take to get the extra weight off after giving birth?

& if there is anymore information you can give me about this, that would be great!

Thanks so much in advance!

I have a 19 week old son who I exclusively breastfeed. I am sexually active with my husband but I keep forgeting to take my pill. Just today I have a very bad pain on both sides like ovary pain. Not sure what stage of cycle I am in as period has not returned due to breastfeeding. Any advice would be good.

I recently learned a new term: Gender Disappointment, or GD. I found out about this after finding a board with women who "have" this. Apparently they get really worked up over having a baby that isn't the gender they wanted, and go so far as to become really depressed, and think bad thoughts towards people who have kids that are the "right" gender. They even talk about how it affects their relationship with their kid! How shallow is this? Why can't they just be happy they have a healthy, happy baby? Why do they have to make up a pseudo-problem when there's more important, and more serious, things to stress about in the world?

Can someone explain this to me?

I see answers from people that say they just "knew they were pregnant" before even testing. When exactly does this feeling beging? Right after conception, a week before your expected cycle? I just don't want to misinterpret anything.
