The child is my ex boyfriends cousins daughter. She curently is in the care of my ex boyfriends mother. I walked in to there house the other day to visit the girl. The living room was a mess! There is a matress on the floor in the living room where the girl and my boyfriends mother sleeps. around the matress is all kids of stuff. Empty plates and cans. No one in the house hold works they all live off of disability. None of them can carry the child or kneel down to help the child bath. Three of the family members have mental health disorders ranging from Bipolar to Sleeping disorders. One member has tried to kill themselves a numoris amout of times. The family has also called me and my bestfriends mother for money for food and has even employed the little girl to do it.

Depends on how filthy the house is. If it is a health or sanitation concern, then yes, the child can be taken.

if it is really filthy, yes. i used to be an MP and had to go to a nasty house. you could smell the house from the outside, you couldnt see the floor, it was covered in trash, dirty clothes, and cat poop. all the tables and countertops were covered with dirty dishes, curdled milk, there were knats flying everywhere. the bathtub had dirty water and cigarrette butts in it. the kids were dirty, they didnt have any clean clothes, and there was mold on the carpet. CPS would have taken the kids away if they werent in Germany, but since they were (they were American kids) they try to avoid taking kids away because they will go into the German system. you would report it by calling the local police station, (not 911) they will contact the proper authorities.

Yes, a child can be taken from a home if the home is not adequately cleaned. That makes it a health hazard for the child. In order to report it, you would need to contact the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

Yes a child can be taken out of a home because it is trashed out
It has to be dirty enough to say that it is n't safe for a child to stay there. This could include the risk of chokin on something that shoudln't be wear it is. To just nasty ness.

Call child protective services they will mkae the determination

Yes, it could happen and did happen in New York this week. It was an extreme case as there were bottles of urine and a six foot high pile of used toilet paper (eek!), but it answers your question. In this case I have to believe that there are some mental health issues to be considered.

yes, a child can be taken away if the home is really filthy. clothes, food, dirty dishes everywhere, garbage all over the kids are dirty all the time, no clean clothes. etc. all you have to do is report it to family services. or child services, and they would have to check it out.

They can, but it seriously has to be deplorable before action will be taken, and then if they clean it up even a little they will get the kids back. I am currently taking care of a 14 year old boy that was removed for this reason, but he will return as soon as Mom can show she has cleaned enough.

yes the child can be taken away, before they take the child away they will try and work out a plan for the living conditions to be etter if that dosent happen then they will take it away if that happens they try to find relatives of the child who are willing to take her, then they look for family friends, then if no one is willing to take custudy of the child, she will be put into stae custody and wait to be adopted

Most of the time the children are not removed from homes for them being dirty. Mostly they just make the adults clean it up.
