I had my first ultrasound at 17 weeks, and they told me it was a girl, explaining that they could tell by the little lines or arches that were visible. They repeated the ultrasound at 21 weeks, and said the same.
My daughter Eden was born on New Year's Eve, so they were right.

I was told it was a girl when I was 11 weeks pregnant...I dont remember anything about 3 white lines though......I thought for sure she was wrong because it was so early, but she was 100% right, it was a girl....Good Luck~

I still don't understand how the 3 weird circular squiggly things showed that it was a girl. They didn't look like lines to me, they looked like circles. My fiance understands it, but I don't. Anyways, I was 21 weeks, I believe.
