If a childcare facility is not properly trained or certified to assist children with certain disabilities, it is usually in the best interest of everyone to not accept that child into their program.
It isn't discrimination if their reasons are because their staff arent able to properly care for the child, it's a courtesy to you. They care enough to be honest and upfront with you about their shortcomings.
It's good that you were upfront with your child's disability, as I'm sure you want the best possible care for your child, however, I think that maybe you need to keep looking for another childcare that can more appropriately meet your needs. It is after all, in the child's best interest.

Maybe they are not discrimination against the child. Maybe they do not have the source to give the care that he requires. They might not have the staff to child ratio. They also might not have the knowledge of how to care for they child. I know that I worked with Head start program in my community to for five years and I know that we had to attend trainings to meet the needs of the children. I now run and in home and I still have to attend trainings to meet the needs of the children. If this is something that you are concerned about I would ask to talk with someone to see why they will not except the child. They may have a very good reason and have not told you.

Yes. First of all Child Care is a PRIVATE business, they do NOT have accept every child who walks through the door. If they are not equip to handle your childs needs they will not take him on. And why should they? Do you think they should have to fork out more money out of their pockets just so that you can dump your child off on them? What kind of disabilities are we talking about? Because one woman on here earlier seemed to think that the day cares should have to take her son even though he was a danger (biting/hitting/constantly demanding all of the workers' attention) to the other children. You think a day care should let your child run them out of business? Either stay home with your child (as you should, even if the child didn't have problems you should not be sticking them in daycare) or find a program for special needs children!

If they don't feel that they can provide appropriate care to the child, then they can refuse. But I would inquire with the day care further and find out why. Does your child have specific cares that are unique to him/her? Does your child need constant one-on-one supervision? Does your child have to have specific medications passed during their time at daycare? These could be just some of the reasons for the refusal.

I think you would be better served finding someone that can care for your child and their special needs. It will be safer for your child in the long run.

Absolutely, because they may not have someone on hand that has experience with your child's kind of disability (if this is mental) or may not have the facility requirements to deal with the particular physical disability. And it's not a matter of if the child is causing difficulties, it's a matter of the potential for issues to arise and having a trained individual on hand that can deal with it appropriately. In other words, it comes down to making sure your child will be safe without you, the parent, in attendance.

Emphatically, sure! There are some psychological diagnoses that are brought about by utilising chemical imbalances interior the ideas and require medicine to handle. There are different psychological themes that happen by way of trauma or different exterior reasons that could require medicine to administration the indicators (violence, loss of sleep, melancholy) at an analogous time as counseling works to help the guy handle the unquestionably trauma. In those circumstances, medicine isn't meant to be the long-time era answer; therapy is. yet while a sexual attack sufferer is so depressed from her journey that she would be ready to't even get away from mattress, no longer to show make it to therapy and get something out of it, the melancholy (as a symptom) could desire to be controlled to be sure that the counseling to artwork. I study it to having a bad sinus an infection. you're taking antibiotics, which will cope with the an infection in some days. yet interior the period in-between, you have have been given a fever, headache, sinus rigidity, so which you're taking some OTC chilly drugs to alleviate the indicators at an analogous time as the antibiotics seems after the reason. i've got constantly theory that incredible (oppositional-defiant sickness) became a lazy diagnosis, for my area. young little ones act out. now and back, like your son, he's basically being a 2 twelve months previous. different circumstances, that is by way of fact little ones study the behaviors that the two get them what they want or behaviors that are survival skills. Neither of that's a psychological ailment, in my opinion. I even have self assurance that each time that is questioned if drugs are needed, the youngster could desire to be evaluated by utilising a authorized new child/adolescent pscyhiatrist. no longer a family individuals well-being practitioner. no longer a pediatrician. no longer even a typical psychiatrist that works with grownup sufferers. i do no longer know if little ones interior the foster care device are evaluated by utilising the main appropriate professionals. It finally comes right down to money, i'm specific. everybody with "MD" after their call can perscribe adderall. does no longer mean that they have got the abilities and talents to exact examine and diagnose the priority. Kudos for taking your son to a professional!
