Well, sometimes when I am just thinking I start to think about myself and all the mistakes I've made and how unperfect I am, like I'm overweight (130 at 5'1"!!!! but people say its all pregnancy weight) but never have the nerve to lose weight... how no one ever pay attention to me... i'm about to have a child and am totally freak out...etc, etc. I stay in this little depression moment for about an hour or two, then someone finally has the sense to snap me out of it. Then my husband usually comforts me and I feel better, but those little "moments" continue to happen frequently. How can I get rid of them?

What has helped me is reading the Bible "The Word of God".
There is nothing you've done that God can't forgive. All He wants us to do is repent and ask Him to come into our hearts.
A good book I read over & over is "Power of a Praying Woman" by Stormie Omartian. Prayer is very powerful!
All my depression turned to joy knowing Jesus loves me & died for my sins to be forgiven. All we have to do is Believe in Him.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

What does being saved mean? I used to hear Christians say that word "saved" before I became a Christian, and all I could think of was "Saved from what?" Well, after I got saved, I figured that out. You see, when Adam and Even sinned and broke God's commandment not to eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, we became disconnected from God (a little bit like unplugging the signal you use to connect
to the Internet or your phone.) Since mankind could not pay for their wrongs, or sins, God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to the Earth to live in a human body and pay the price for our wrongs by being nailed to to the cross in our place. So, God had made a way for us to be reconnected to Him through Jesus His Son by allowing Him to pay for all of our crimes (sin.) All you have to do is admit to Him that you are a sinner (wrongdoer,) accept Jesus' sacrifice on the cross to pay for your sins in your place, and believe that He has saved you. You are then instantly connected to God, and saved from hell, and the eternal judgment you would
have received for having to face God with all your sins unpaid for. You must accept the sacrifice of Jesus to be saved.

Here is a prayer to pray to help you.

"God, I admit to you right now that I am a sinner, and I ask that you would come into my heart right now and forgive me of all my sins. I accept the sacrifice of your Son Jesus upon the cross as payment for my sins and I thank you for saving me this day from hell and eternal separation from you. Jesus, I ask that you would be Lord of my life, and I surrender every area of my heart and life to you this day. I also ask God that you would baptize me with your Holy Spirit. In Jesus name I pray
and give thanks, Amen".

Jer 29:11-13
Jeremiah 29:11-13
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Phil 4:6
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Psalm127:3
3 Children are a gift from the LORD;
they are a reward from him.

You are blessed dear friend! God Bless you & your family.

You say you are pregnant? About to have a child? I'm sure hormones have ALOT to do with that...they flucuate wildy during pregancy, especially the 1st trimester. How far along are you? And please, DO NOT concern yourself with baby weight. It is a necessary and natural part of being pregnant. I gain 35 lbs with each pregnancy, and always drop it after the baby by breastfeeding...it burns alot of calories for your body to produce breastmilk and to keep up with the demands of a hungry infant! As far as the way you feel about no one paying attention to you, girl, snap out of it! You said your husband usually comforts you-that's attention. Also, with a new baby coming, you're going to have all the attention you can ever want! Your baby's life will revolve around you. That baby will show you more love than you could dream of...unconditional. So don't be down, just look forward to the new little miracle that is about to enter your life and fill it with so much happiness! Think positively, that is how to get rid of those little "moments" of insecurity, doubt, and depression. Good luck to you!

By changing the way you think.
Snap yourself out of it. Go for a little walk.
that's what I do. I feel sad and down, then look at what I have- a fiance who will do anything for me, a daughter who lights up my life and a family who appreciates me.

I know that I have days when I would like to stay in bed or for just half an hour, not have someone need me quite so much...

It's normal to feel overwhelmed but you will get through it!

Email me if you would like someone to talk to- it helps to have someone there who you can confide in.

You can start by not thinking that you're overweight at 130 pounds when you're about to give birth!

Be assured that after the hormones calm down, you won't be having the depression. Hang on to that thought, and hang in there.

You're pregnant! Its ok, it happens to the best of us. You should talk to your doctor though asap because you will be at a higher risk for post partum depression if you are already feeling it now. And, just for the record, you are NOT overweight!!!!

first thing you can not be over weight if you are pregnant
second talk to your Dr they have things that will help

let your family know you are going though this and what the signs are and have them watch for them and to give you a lil more attention when they see them
