I go to the restroom about ,oh, 100 times a day, but I never wake up during the night to go. Am I maybe too early to start having the joy of midnight potty breaks? At what stage did this happen for you?

I am starting my 4+ month old on rice cereal. Am I supposed to feed the cereal before or after a nursing session? Should it be the same sequence once we move to veggies/fruit?

I'm pregnant with my third child. I breast fed my first two but don't want to do it this time around. My husband and I are arguing about it. My youngest son will barely be 2 years old when this one is born and I'd like to be able to sleep a little more. Not only that I've never been a big producer of milk and I always have to mix formula with breast milk anyway. I'd also like to have my husband possibly pick up a midnight feeding or two and if I'm nursing he can't do that. Plus I'd like to save what's left of my breasts :-) Am I being selfish?

He seems normal right now but when I saw him he was face down on the floor crying... He must of rolled more then once since we had put him in the middle of the bed.. All he has is slightly red knees and elbows.

What are the signs I should take him to the hospital?

thanks

Has this happened to anyone else? I feel horrible...

Baby number 1 is 11 months old. I'm thinking about when is the ideal time for the next one, but I really can't face trailing a double buggy around. I'm wondering when you can reasonably expect a toddler to go out without one. I'm also thinking of those buggy board things, and also I think you have about six months where toddler can go in buggy and baby can go in sling.... Any experience/ideas welcome. ( I have a Bugaboo Gecko currently)

Just wondering what items I should focus on buying before I go into labor. We already have things like the baby bed, baby bjorn carrier, and bassinet) but I was wondering what other items I need and what were most useful for your newborn during the first few weeks?

My newborn only drinks 1 1/2 ounces or so every 3 hours. She went to the hospital for a jaundice test, and they said she was dehydrated. How much should a newborn drink? How can I get her to drink more? I've tried everything and am very worried.

The closet in the nursery has two sliding doors. How do I baby proof them. And should I put drawer locks on the dresser drawers so he can't open them and climb them. How do I baby proof the litter box?

I have a 7 month old who is about to start crawling. What baby proofing tips can you give me.

Thanks.

She likes formula fine, but breast feeding becomes fussy and doesn't take to it as well as the bottle. She's breast fed from beginning and supplented occassionally with formula and also when this weekend when grandma had baby overnight.

Baby is not gassy and can't figure out if it's a mom-daughter missed signals? Any advice?

my husband and i had sex last night and had to stop because i started having really bad pelvic pain. like cramps only worse. i have not had this problem with him before. i have been having light cramps almost every day for a few months, but have attributed it to my body just getting back to normal after giving birth. my daughter is 5 months old now. does this sound like a bad problem or just something not to worry about?

My daughter is going to be 7 weeks on Friday and she is always hungry. She is up to 5-6oz of milk every 2-3hours. I started giving her cereal for breakfast and before bed. She still eats a 5oz bottle with her cereal too. I bought her fruit today. Is it to soon for fruit and veggies?

my coworkers 3 week old baby likes to "snack and nap" as I say. He will eat 1 or 2 ounces and then fall asleep but only for a short time because then he "remembers" that he is still hungry and will wake up screaming but again only eat another ounce. This cycle repeats and creates sleepless nights. I know that new borns are not going to sleep for very long but I'm sure if he would eat closer to 3-4 ounces he would sleep longer.

PS - he is breastfed and takes his breast milk in the bottle

I had a scary delivery w/ my last daughter. About 12 days before they induced me, I went to the hospital thinking I was leaking fluid. The doctor just had me lay on a pad for an hour, &sent me home. I went to 2 more weekly appts before he decided he needed to induce me.The initial drugs they gave me didn't work, so they decided to break my water. In this process they found out I had no water to break. My husband and I tend to think that it was a slow leak...but the doctor never checked me. I was still not in labor, but my baby's heart rate dropped all the way down to 40. They had me maneuver and gave me an oxygen mask...they inserted a hydrating device up into my uterus. Finally after 10 hours of nothing, they gave me more powerful drugs that worked. She had the chord around her neck, she pooped in utero, she had a slow heart rate & she was blue, w/ 2 marks on her head from the hydrating probe. Her apgar score was 3. She had an angel watching over her.she is now about to be 8 months.
