HAS ALL THE ANSWERS!!! Its a great site for new feeders. It will also give you tips on fresh food making instead of jar foods but you can always just use their chart on when to indroduce new foods and what foods at what times.
I did the homemade foods and it was rather easy and less time consuming than I thought but it is really a preferance thing. I most likely wont do it with my second only because I really dont have the time like I did before.
Good Luck!

I think the first veggie baby food I gave my daughter was carrots, and she loved them! But, warning! She ate almost a whole jar, and then she had the worst gas and tummy pains!
So, if you start introducing veggies, just give them a little and see how they do.
I never really figured out when to move to stage 2. It was more like all of a sudden she was grabbing real food off my plate, and then she hated baby food for a long time. Then, after she turned a year old she started liking baby food again. So, they go through phases. You just have to buy a variety and try to please them. Some days she loves bananas, so I'll stock up on bananas. Then, she will hate them! So, back to apples. Know what I mean?

When your little one turns 6 months only introduce new foods once aweek. So you can start with green beans feed your baby green beans for that week then after that week you can do a fruit like bananas only reason why they have do that cause if you feed your baby all these baby foods at once your baby can have a allergic reaction to one of the foods then you wouldn't know which gave her/him the reaction. But just don't feed your her/him baby food constantly she/he will still need there formula. What i did was i gave my son cereal i the morning and in between till lunch i gave him his formula then when it was time for lunch i gave him his baby food but not the whole jar like 1/4 or 1/2 baby will tell you when there done then same in between the formula then when it came to dinner i would give him the other half of the baby food. Then he would have some formula before he went to bed. And when there ready for table foods i think it's about between 7-8 months it's been awhile. But when you go in to get your baby it's 6 months shots your doc will ask if your baby is on solid foods and they should tell you what to do and ask about when to feed them table foods.

I started cereal at 3 weeks old and stage one at 3 months, the stages depended on the thickness and how well he handled them. He quit eatting anything that seemed like baby food at 9 month old!
But by 9 months old he had 8 teeth at least!

I'm sure that you're fine mixing a fruit or veggie in with your cereal now. Do one fruit/veggie at a time to make sure that your baby doesn't have an allergy to it.
