some babies are just greedy! i wouldnt try fruit just yet....and if u still decide to....just apples and pears...nothing fancy and no veggies yet. if shes not getting a belly ache from the 5-6 oz feedings and shes not spitting it up, then shes fine.
my 6 months old only drinks 4-6 ozs every 3 hours....my first son was at 8 ozs by 4 months
i gave both of my boys cereal at 2 weeks....they are perfectly fine...if you do everything your doctor tells u, u will have a hard time with your child....some babies need things quicker then others to make them more content
any juice at 7 weeks is not good....water or milk only

This is also prime time for a growth spurt. I didn't use formula, but would this be a good time to increase the amount you're giving her per feeding?
Growth spurts occur around 7-10 days, 2-3 weeks, 4-6 weeks, 3 months, 4 months, 6 months and 9 months (more or less), so this could be the 4-6 week growth spurt a little late.
And I want to STRONGLY second the previous poster's advice to wait on solids!! Your child should not get any solids until they can sit up and have lost the tongue-thrust reflex (spitting food back out) This happens at about 6 months.
Early solids can lead to a lot of problems including higher potential for food allergies, obesity, diabetes, the list goes on and on. So if I were in your shoes I'd lay off the cereal and up the oz of milk
Good luck!

Babies do so much growing those first few months. It's probably a growth spurt and I agree it's too early for cereal, fruit or veggies. Early introduction of solid food has been shown to increase food allergy risks. Some babies eat more than others. I don't think 6 oz in one feeding every 2-3 hours is a lot. Sounds about right for a hungry baby. Call your pedi to make sure it's nothing more than hunger.

Yes it is way too soon for ANY food, including cereals. You could really damge her gut hun.
Have you tried her on a hungry baby milk instead? I am not ahuge fan of them, but they are good for some babies
She should be having 2.4-2.7oz of milk per lb of body weight in each 24 hours eg a 10lb baby would be having 24 to 27 oz, although anything between 20-32 would be 'normal' range. Her consuption doesnt sound that huge to me

Hmmm...My 2d replaced into like this, and it took me a jointly as to determine that she needed stable foodstuff (already! at 4 months!). My first had no interest until eventually particularly much 9 months. persons they're, persons they continuously would be. Does he shriek like a banshee whilst he sees you ingesting? it relatively is unusual that he's 'tapping you out', however - many times furnish will boost to fulfill any call for (I also have a chum who had EBF twins - you should actually watch her top off) - is it conceivable which you're merely so exausted your milk is falling off a splash? occurred to me with my first, aka the two-hour bandit. in the 1st 14 months of her existence she fed each 2 hours without fail around the clock. you may breastfeed jointly as asleep, i got here across :>. besides, i attempted what the LLL e book reported - spending an afternoon doing no longer something yet sound asleep, ingesting and feeding the toddler - like don't get away from mattress, I propose. problematical to do with 3 extra working approximately yet properly worth a attempt in case you may get the hubby to help. additionally, even however fat content fabric in breast milk is a complicated ingredient, a chum of mine had some fulfillment removing a nighttime feeding by skill of ingesting a nighttime snack after the 1st feeding - it looked as though it may make the 2d feeding circulate extra useful. Her thought replaced into that the snack made her milk larger in fat so the babe replaced into extra useful fed. on the different hand, in step with probability hungry mommy replaced into making toddler worried :> I dunno, whether it relatively is properly worth a attempt...

You are not supposed to start solids until they can sit up. That includes cereal. Maybe try feeding more frequently! My baby girl ate more like every hour during the day and every 2-3 hours at night.

Recently it has been recommended to wait until the child closer to six months of age before introducing solid foods. This is to try and avoid allergies. I would talk to her pediatrician about a different formula, one that might satisfy her more.
