Two is fine. I am also breastfeeding and while in the hospital I explained to the lactation consultant my love of soda and she told me it was fine to have it but try to limit it. If I have to much, the baby lets me know! No danger, just a hyper baby!

I don't think that is very healthy for you little one. For one caffeine may interfere with the bioavailablity or iron from breastmilk and impair the infant's iron status. Iron is very important in the production of red blood cells which are responsible for caring oxygen. So if your child has a breathing problem the energy drinks may just compound the situation.

I would think so because of all the sugar and caffeine.

Most energy drinks contain very high amounts of sugar and caffeine that gives you jitters, the "buzz", and then "crash". I think this is very unhealthy for your body, especially if you drink a lot of them.

I found one that I really like. It's healthy to drink, works in 10-15 minutes after I drink it, lasts for several hours, helps me with my exercising and workouts.

I found it at www.carlshealthhelp.com/energy

I wouldn't recommend it. Those energy drinks are high in caffeine and other strange ingredients, and 2 per day is too much. It's better to be safe than sorry, and I would recommend a more healthy diet with more fruits and vegetables and dairy products.

You are probably okay but do not exceed over 2 drinks. There have been recent studies that showed that very little caffeine appeared in human milk (studies were concluded from a female that drank 2 cups of cups of coffee each morning).

Probably.

I drank an energy drink once whilst breastfeeding, and paid for it that night when she wouldn't settle.

But I've also read that you only pass on about 1% of what you ingest - but this doesn't mean you can have anything.

It won't make your baby sick, but it could make it very unsettled and unhappy.

i believe there could be some negative effects to this, obviously the caffeine isnt good, but also some of the different ingrediants could affect the baby if not properly broken down or absorbed by your body. keep in mind what you wouldnt do pregnant u shouldnt do while breastfeeding

Energy drinks have caffein. You shouldn't feed your baby caffein - I had to cut down on coffee and even spicy foods when i was breasfeeding

I am assuming a 'Rockstar' drink is one of those disgusting caffeine drinks ......... If it is, keep right away from them whilst breastfeeding.
