If you child can hold their own head up while being held upright on your knee, you may want to invest in a saucer. There are some that reach the ground/ a platform and this helps baby grow leg muscles.
Also the baby swings/ bouncy seats work well at this age, but they will grow out of them by 6 months(depending on how small/ developed they are).
You can also (at about 6 months) buy a device that hangs from the molding in your doorway and your child can freely bounce all over the place (like a tiny baby bungee).
This is the reason my daughter walked so soon.

Bouncy seats are great, especially with the built-in musical lights and toys. They are so practical and fit anywhere. Plus, you can put them on vibrate mode and babies seem to love the motion.

Swings are great, too, but if you buy the full-size ones, they take up a lot of space. The small portable swings are actually just as good, as far as making the baby happy.

My baby didn't really get into her activity center until she was about 6 months old.

Play gyms are good - the quilt-like things that you put on the ground, with toy bars built into them, with toys hanging down. Good for tummy time, too.

My daughter( at that age )and my friends baby who are about your baby's age loves the jumperoo it is stable enough for the little ones but fun even when they are older. They have activity centres on them like the exorsauser. They are well with the $$.

Jumpers are great - my daughter loved hers, but some babies hate them. it's sort of a gamble. Activity centers are also good, however my daugther never had one.

All four of my children LOVED exersaucers. They have tons of activities to keep them busy. They also liked bouncy seats as well.
