At my work, a coworkers wife is having a baby and naturally all of the ladies at work are invited to the baby shower. Im young and trying to get by, and all of the women at work want everyone to pay 40 dollars to chip in for a baby stroller. call me cheap but I really dont want to pay that much for someone i never even met, plus im new at this place.
I also dont even want to go!! Help! how do i get out of going with a group of hens, and paying 40 dollars? should I just suck it up!

I asked this questioned earlier:

My sister-in-law came over and looked at it and we determined that the reason the little bumps were flesh colored is because they are little tiny blisters. I called the doctor and they were no help and just told me to bring him back in.. which seems pointless since we already took him in and got no good results..
Anyhow I have had his diaper off for 4 hours or so.. we sat outside for a bit and so many of the areas have already cleared up!! Is it possible that he is just all of the sudden having a reaction to his diapers? We have been using Pampers since he was born (he is 5 months now) and have never had a problem...
Since he is doing so well naked, I don't intend to put a diaper back on him until I figure this out.
Anyone else experience this? I appreciate any suggestions.

I'm pregnant and I know breast milk is the healthiest choice and I want my baby to have breast milk but I'm really put off by the idea of breast feeding. So, I want to try using a breast pump. So my questions are: Can you refrigerate breast milk and how long does it stay good? Do you need to warm it back up before giving it to baby, and how, microwave? Do any kind of bottles work with any kind of breast pump or do they need to be a certain size or brand/type? How long is it proper to breastfeed? Any recommendations on which breast pump to buy or are they all basically the same? Say I give my baby a bottle annd he doesn't finish it, can I re-refrigerate it and rewarm it later? I know I have alot of questions but any answers or other info would really help. Thanks in advance to any answers!

I am paranoid about baby shampoo. Does it really not hurt a baby's eyes? How do they make "tearless" baby shampoo?

right for my family, and I also choose not to put down those that have made a different choice. Why do so many (not all) non vaccinating families just jump to the conclusion that anyone who vaccinates their kids just do it because they have "been told to" by their doctors? Why is it so inconceivable that parents who made a different choice did it after weighing their options and getting the information they needed?

My baby is teething and will chew on anything within her reach. She especially likes to chew on people's fingers if they will let her. My friend and her husband let my baby chew on their fingers. I don't let her chew on mine and I wash my hands 10 million times a day. I think this is gross and I'm pretty upset when I catch it. I just smile and draw the baby's attention to something different. Any other mothers experienced this? How do you feel about it?

Me and my husband are thinking of starting a family and I have been reading up on things I should know. This would be our first child. I don't know if I will like breastfeeding but it is because I don't know to much about it. Is it ok to only breastfeed for 6 weeks. I don't intend to use a breast pump at work when I go back. All I have been reading seem like it is just to much trouble. I know bottle feeding can be trouble to but I do know like I said. I do not intend to use a pump at work and I don't intend to breastfeed for 6 months like I have read. I know it isn't for everyone. I am just weighing my options.
