Before we had him we was dead set on no Pacifier. However when coming home and being a breast fed baby was easy to give him to comfort himself between feedings. And so when we gave it to him about a month after he was born we decided by the time he was a year no more nuk. So we've been working for last 2 weeks. We've got him down to only getting it at naps and bed. Tried to go without it at his nap but he didn't sleep screamed for an hour and a half so been giving in and give it to him. Then right asleep he goes. SO WHERE TO GO FROM HERE???????? HELP

My ten month old son gags and spits out everything we try to feed him. Whenever he sees a spoon coming at him he locks his jaw and refused to open his mouth. We have tried all the different baby foods, cooked vegetables, and all the fruits. The only thing he will kinda open his mouth for is cherrios & veggie puffs but will only eat a couple. He is breastfed and eats every three hours and is gaining weight , I just remember starting to feed my daughter some table foods at this age and her loving them. Anyone have the same problem and what are you doing about it?

i have a 8 month old daughter that has been pn formula since she was 2 days old. i tryed to breast feed her and i didnt produce enough milk. we also dont have a lactation consoltant here so it is that much harder. people are always saying that mothers that choose to bottle feed are harming their child and that they will not be as smart as other children. i always feel guilty now because of it and i dont want to feel that way. my daughter is well ahead of other children her age. i feel that bottle feeding is just as good as breastfeeding as well as you still bond with your child as well as the father. i want to know if there is anyone that feels the same way

So I'm expecting my second baby soon and this time I plan on completely breastfeeding because I wasn't physically able to nurse my daughter, anyway, my question is when I start nursing do I completely have to change my eating habits. I'm a real junk food kinda person. I love fried foods, burgers, fries and well things like that. I hate vegetables all of them and I was wondering this earlier. Please answer with the truth and not what is better. I just want to know if I can keep eating like that or am I going to HAVE to change it!

I have a 6 month old little girl (my second). I was reading some articles last night - they warned against damage caused to baby's teeth if they fall asleep with a bottle. Says they'll have major problems and might even need their teeth fixed at a hospital. It says that the formula stays in their mouth when they fall asleep, and causes damage.
About 50% of the time I rock my baby to sleep, she'll take 2 ounces of formula left from dinner.
Do I have to stop doing this? Should I clean her mouth out with a washcloth before I set her in her crib? (don't want to - she's a very light sleeper)
Thanks!

My friend suggested using breast pump and giving him expressed milk through bottle, till the time my supply establishes. i being inexperienced and first time mom did that. Now i pump in th morning and try to feed him, but he doesnt likes me nursing him and prefers bottle. I feel sad and want to nurse him. Can anyone suggest a way he would prefer me nursing him over bottle! It breaks my heart evertime he turns his face around or folds his lips or if forced more starts crying, till the time i give him bottle!

What do i do!help pls.

They say while being pregnant you shouldn't stretch above your head or reach for high things b/c the ambilical cord can get wrapped around the baby's neck....is this true??

I had twin girls in march and after delivery i still cannot get an answer as to weather or not they are identical or fraternal. As soon as they where born i asked the doc if i had one placenta or two.He told me one.My husband saw for himself that it did indeed look like one and after that the doc went on another delivery and the nurses cleand me up i hear the nurse ask another if the placenta was to be sent to pathology and the other nurse told her yes since i had twins it would need to be tested.my complaint is that 3 wks later i asked my obgyn about the pathology report and he said he wouldnt know that i would hafta ask the girls pediatrician!!!!I know for a fact that i had 2 seprate amnio sacs and what looked like one placenta, but not sure about chioron. At every pediatrican visit i mention this situation, but never get answers.I think that my placenta was trashed. What should i do?and will a dna test tell me for sure? please help im sooo frustrated!!!!

My very good friend is getting married Sept. 1st of this year, in Mexico. My son will be 7 months at the time. My boyfriend is staying home with him since he does not want to go and doesnt want me to take the baby either. His sister is telling me " Wow you are brave Roxy to leave him"....

Should I feel guilty? Should I go?

I trust his dad completely and I know in my heart that he will take really good care of him.

Please advice!

There are times that she cries for hours at a time, and nothing seems to comfort her. What else can I do poor her? I feel so bad for her, and sometimes she doesn't even want me to hold her. Please help!!

My daughter is going to be 7 months old tomorrow. She has been pulling herself up to stand in her crib and cruising around furniture for 2 weeks now. We used to put the "bag" type blanket sleepers on her at night but since she has been standing we have not. Instead we turn the heat on in the house. My question is, is it safe to give her a blanket now? I am afraid that if we keep using the bag she will get tripped up in it when she tries to stand up in her crib. First time mom, so this is all new to me. Thanks.

my son is eight months old and doesn't have a single tooth. He will not eat baby food, although will eat off a spoon as long as there is not baby food on it. I mean no cereal, no fruits or vegetables. he will only eat table food like my five year old, but i worry about him choking since he has no teeth, and if it messes with his digestion because he doesn't sleep through the night either! he is like a fountain of drool and steadily rubbing ears and eyes. doc's say it's because he's teething, but i've heard that for 4 mos. already. any suggestions

I have always been wary about my 5 month old daughter staying the night at my MIL's house. She lives almost 2 hours away, and everytime she brings her home, she has done something against my wishes. This time, when she brought her home, my child had only had 5.5 ounces all day and it was 5 in the evening! It wasn't even really the amount she ate, because one day of poor eating wasn't going to harm her. It was that she had fed her 1 oz and then wouldn't feed her again for hours. Also, I told her to give her a morning bottle around 7 in the morning, and she didn't feed her until 9. She told me she wasn't going anywhere, and then I found out she had took Emma to her work to show her off. I also said not to give her cereal until around 1 and she gave it to her at 11. Should I just ignore it? I talked to my husband about it, but he isn't concerned at all. I even wrote down all these instructions! I just need some advice on how to handle it. It makes me not want to leave her there anymore.
