Call the vet now! He will tell you if it is even possible to raise baby hamsters. I have done dogs, cats, birds and bunnies, but no hamsters.

First how old are the babies? If they are under 10 days old you must feed them milk. Not cow's milk you can buy kitten formula or goats milk for them.

Second Hamster babies are weaned within 2 weeks and can survive on regular hamster diet as long as you give them Tofu and Brocolli for their water intake.

If they are very young you will need to hand feed them from a kitten bottle, you can also try bread soaked in milk if they won't drink from the bottle.

You have to keep them warm, you can give them toilet paper that you cut up small and make into a little bed for them and keep them out of all drafts. You can also give them a sock to curl up in.

If the babies have no hair yet then it is almost impossible to keep them alive, I'm very sorry to tell you that.

Why did the mother die? Was it an infection, did she still have young inside her? These are all important things to consider because if she died of an infection then the babies will have been exposed to it and will likely die.

But on the bright side if they are older than a week old and have that downy fur on them you can help them by feeding them as I stated above and maybe just maybe you can get at least one to survive.

Go to your local Wal Mart. Get newborn kitten replacement milk and a syringe. Warm the milk and feed with the syringe. You also have to stimulate them to make them use the bathroom, try a warm damp washcloth. Also keep them warm. Are their eyes open yet??? Depending on how old they are, you feed little amounts every 3 to 4 hours.

Put it the yahoo search and see what it says to do for them, probably like a kitten or any animal.

Why don't you call a vet instead of asking here on Yahoo! The Vet might know a little more than us bums sitting here answering dumb a** questions!
