I asked this questioned earlier:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Agq5YLdfJgQFJpk4AIuY9Hnsy6IX?qid=20070510060521AAATftq

My sister-in-law came over and looked at it and we determined that the reason the little bumps were flesh colored is because they are little tiny blisters. I called the doctor and they were no help and just told me to bring him back in.. which seems pointless since we already took him in and got no good results..
Anyhow I have had his diaper off for 4 hours or so.. we sat outside for a bit and so many of the areas have already cleared up!! Is it possible that he is just all of the sudden having a reaction to his diapers? We have been using Pampers since he was born (he is 5 months now) and have never had a problem...
Since he is doing so well naked, I don't intend to put a diaper back on him until I figure this out.
Anyone else experience this? I appreciate any suggestions.

No if you read the previous question, I think I have alredy determined that it is not a yeast infection.

As far as I know Nyastatin is for a yeast or fungal infection. He was already treated for that and it didn't work... so I think a fungal infection has been ruled out.

my daughter has gotten nasty diaper rash before too. the doc can call in a script for nyastatin cream (not sure of the spelling) this has medicine in it that helps clear up diaper rash. also try giving him a bath in Aveeno Oatmeal bath this made for diaper rashes, sunburns, etc. u can find the aveeno at a pharamacy with baby washes it comes in a box with like 3 packets. hopes this helps!

oh yeah and if you cant get that script try butt paste and powder that is medicated

My son was the very exact way with diapers, and had a diaper rash from day one. My doctor ended up telling us to try anything we were suggested from friends, b/c she had tried every time of steroid creme she could and he still had the rash..
Air is the best thing to clear up a rash. Normally its the perfume in the diapers that causes it. We had to use Huggies for him, but for some its a different type of diaper.. You could always use cloth as well, and use a soap that does not have perfume in it. Even some of the diapers that say they contain no perfume still have some in it.. I use lots of a&d, and air.. Keep the skin very clean... We also used a triple oitment cream that the doc perscribed, that did contain a steroid, which seemed to help quite a bit. But if you would not rather go that route I would trying changing the diaper to a different brand,a&D, and letting him go w/o a diaper for so long every day.. It should clear up immediately... I hope this helps, good luck!...

When my daugher was a baby she was allergic to a generic brand of diapers. It gave her a funny looking rash in her diaper area. I have also read that a lot of people's children, that post here on Yahoo answers, have been allergic to pampers although I use them for my son and have never had a problem. It could be a food allergy as others have suggested. My thinking is if it isn't any of these maybe it's eczema. My children have it and my son's has gone from his face to his forearms. I saw a little girl this weekend that had it in her diaper area or at least close to it. Hydrocortisone cream works well for some who have this problem.

Just keep his bum clean and dry. Try washing him with baby wash and water during diaper changes. Also, try a small amount of hydrocortisone, this will help with any inflammation and itching or burning. The weather is starting to heat up so it may be prickly heat rash. You said that you sat outside for a bit with him, continue to do that. Sun his bottom for a few minutes at a time. The sun will help to dry out the rash and the UV light will stimulate Vitamin D production which is needed for healing and tissue repair. Good luck.

could be a reaction to the diaper..may want to try another brand or type. Try cloth diapers maybe till it clears up.. Try a different brand or type of wipes. May also be a reaction from his urine because of something he ate or drank. Or to the bath soap when bathing him or laundry soap. It can be hard to tell for sure what may have caused it.

Whenever my children had any issues I used "Butt Paste" don't laugh..that is the actual name of it. You can get it at most any pharmacy and Wal-Mart. The box and container are yellow, comes in tubes and tubs It costs a bit more but well worth it. It works on anything, you can use it on adults too. For heat rash, diaper rash, any kind of irritation in the folds of skin and around the genitals. I still keep a tube of it around and mine are ages 5,8,& 9.

The diapers could be a possiblity....sometimes they develope things later.....and also lose allergies later. I know my oldest the first time he ate jarred peaches he had a reaction. ....Now a year later, he can eat peaches with no reaction at all. It can also work in reverse....things that did not cause allergies at first can all of a sudden start. Could be a change in the way they are made, or new materials they use I would try a new brand of diapers, then you'll know for sure.

I had a terrible experience with diaper rash, and we are now a cloth diapering family. The air circulation helps with keeping their butts healthy. Air is able to circulate, but they don't leak like disposables (unless you forget to change in time). I wouldn't go back to disposables! When my baby looks rashy, I put the diaper on her and leave the waterproof cover off. In a few hours, it's totally clear. You can purchase cheap diapers from Target and use those without a cover until baby's butt is better, or you can make the switch and order up a whole stash.

When babies are little, their skin is extremely sensitive to the urine from their diapers...so, wipe with a nice warm soft washrag, no soap all the time, he might be allergic to something you are using,...keep him very dry, and the best thing to put on his bottom, is good old fashioned corn starch...put it on generously, it dries up the rash, and comforts his little bottom! It is an oldy but a goodie! And please, don't use anything that you don't need to ...corn starch works miracles,...just try it, and you will be so surpized...but, sorry to disagree, do NOT use clorox bleach, his bottom has rash, from the burning urine on his sensitive skin..I agree cloth diapers are the best...the urine is burning him, and keeping his skin clean, and using the cornstarch to sooth and absorb the acid in the urine, is the key...it will bring him much relief...try it yourself on your own skin the next time you get a burn from something, like under your arm, etc. works every time

It could be a sudden reaction to the diapers. Has he started eating or drinking anything different. My daughter got a rash after she peed because my in-laws gave her orange juice at 9 months old. My son had a similar reaction to apple juice when he first started drinking it.

mine had an awful one once where he got raw and bleeding blisters. that was after 24 hrs of diarhea though. i found this awesome diaper rash cream. it's at every drugstore and supermarket here, so look for it.
it's called dr's medicated triple paste. or something close to that, it's in a blue and white container. clears up his awful rashes in 24 hrs, at the most. after one application, he stops screaming in pain, it works that fast. i will edit later and put the real name on here, my son is sleeping right now and the diaper rash cream is in his room.

ok it's just called triple paste, works wonders.
