my 2 month old snores during sleep. it sounds like a congested raspy snore. almost like she has lots of mucus in her chest. i ased her doctor and she said she was fine. but i looked up snoring on line and found that snoring is the #1 symptom for sleep apnea which could be deadly. do any of you have babies that snore and this is perfectly fine? or are familiar with sleep apnea and have any advice?

i know someone who has a 9 month old son like i do. her baby sits on the couch for most of the day watching tv and eating. it doesnt seem very healthy. she isn't worried about him falling off either...! he just sits there. he doesnt crawl or sit up well on his own yet either. should i be concerned for her baby? i know every baby develops at their own rate, but shouldn't he be getting more time on the floor to encourage him to move around on his own? The back of her baby's head is really flat too, i don't know if that's normal in babies or if there's something really wrong with him??

My daughter just turned 7 months old yesterday. She has been pulling herself to stand for about 3 weeks now, whenever she is on the floor or in her crib she is standing. She has just began trying to "cruise". She never really crawled. She did get on her fours and rock back and forth. To get around she usually sits herself up from her tummy, puts her hand out, lets herself fall, scootches, and then gets up again and so on. This is just how she has always got around for about 2 months now. Anyway, I was talking with my mom telling her that she is attempting to cruise, when my mom said that it was bad if she never crawled. She said that babies that never crawl are not good readers later on in life. She claims there have been studies proving this theroy. I was wondering what everyone else thinks on this matter? I think its false, I don't see how crawling has anything to do with reading. What do you think?

My Aunt, who lives two minutes from my house, is having a baby on tuesday. I'm sure i will see her alot, especially when Naomi, the baby, is born. But i'm not sure what i can help with. I know i'll love her, but will i love her enough to deal with her crying all the time.

What should i do when i see her. Change her diaper? dress her? just play with her?
Are babies acuatually lots of fun?

Please pray for the mom and baby to have a safe labor. Thank you!
=)

I had a pretty happy baby for the most part, latley it seems like he just gets really cranky and cries for no reason. I never know when he is going to be happy or cranky from one day to the next, so I am terrified to ever leave him because I don't want him to be crying the whole time when i am not there. He was sleeping pretty much through the whole night, now he is back to waking up a few times. He doesn't do the same thing anytime of anyday eating and napping is still very eratic, so I have no idea where to start as to getting some kind of schedule started. I keep trying to get a pattern going in the hopes that that will help with the crankyness, but maybe I am crazy. Any advice on how to get some kind of schedule going or any other advice at all. Thanks

The first day I tried, she seemed fine. From the next day onwards she seemed very disinterested and sometimes would even cry. I tried Oatmeal first she seemed to have rashes from it. So I then switched to rice cereal. No allergies from it. But both Oatmeal and Rice she did not want.

I next tried bananas, again the first day she was fine. From the second day she exhibited the same behavoiur as the Cereal, disinterest and crying. For last 4 days I have stopped solids and she is on formula alone.

Any thoughts/suggestions on what I should do next.

My daughter is 6 1/2 months old and is breast fed. She likes to play with the bottle and she will drink some water from a sippy cup, but any time I've tried to give her breast milk in either one, she wont take it. She plays with it for a while, but when she wants to eat only the breast will do. I have left her with a sitter or her dad, but she will cry until I come home. Is she spoiled? or is there something i can try?

My baby is 9 months. Just cut his first tooth yesterday and another is on its way. He has been waking up anywhere from 5 or 10 times during the night crying. His Dr advised me to give him baby motrin before bed and that it should keep him asleep longer. I tried last night and it didn't work at all. I'm afraid to give him the gum numbing medicine. Any advise on how to help ease his pain during the night?

I had a c-section in Jan. and have just now worked my way up to being able to do 150 crunches at a time. I was doing sets of 500 before I was pregnant. I see no results and its really hard to even do this many. My c-section was emergency so I think that my muscles were damaged a little during the surgery. I did kinda make it harder on myself by gaining almost 80lbs during pregnancy. I was on a steroid in the first trimester because of a ruptured disk and gained around 25 lbs in 3 weeks! I was also anorexic before pregnancy so I did'nt really now how to eat. I guess I did it wrong! LOL! Ive lost 45lbs so far but have a long way to go. When will my muscles work right? Has anyone else had this problem?

The journey's only hour and a half but still....My partner's not going with me but coming over in a few days so it's this trip that worries me. I've never been scared of flying but suddenly a week ago i started getting really panicky and i keep myself awake at night worrying about all sorts and picturing situations and just generally getting myself really anxious. Not worried about feeding/crying/space etc on the plane though, it's just that 'im not in control' bit i think....has anyone else felt like this or am i going mad...Pls help me, i need to know if anyone else has gone through similar feelings!
