I am a lesbian and mother to a 6 and a half month old little girl. My partner was the one who actually carried our baby but I feel like my connection with her is stronger. I am a stay at home mom and I have to practically beg my partner to help with anything...it's just frustrating. What can I do to make her take part of the responsibility?

my child is due to have this, but i am still not sure whether there are real links to developing autism after having this jab and im worried. i have heard that people link these 2 things because signs of autism start to show in an autistic chold around the time that all children have the mmr jab. have your children had this and did anything happen?

Is it okay to give a one month old water to clean the milk off her tongue? I am breastfeeding and her tongue is a little milk stained is this normal? Should I clean her tongue? When is it safe to start cereals and oatmeals?

My baby is 2 weeks old and I am interesting in expressing just enough for one feed a day. I've been told by 2 midwives that one feed a day is not enough to cause nipple confusion so it's ok to start now. But then I have read elsewhere to wait until baby is 3, or 4 or 6 weeks old.
How long should I wait until I start expressing?
What experiences have you had with expressing?
I am only talking about doing it for one feed a day.

Ok so now i have this question, my 6 month old refuses to eat baby foods, all he wants is the bottle. Everytime i feed him it winds up everywhere but his mouth. He just sticks his tounge to block it. Should i force it or just let him go at his own pace. It worries me cause my other son ate foods at 4 months no problem.

I am 37 weeks along, the doc says my baby is approx. 8lbs right now and will be 10lbs by delivery. The baby is big and I have a hard time sitting up straight because he is so high. He sits very high to the point that I cannot bend over or touch my toes without him pressing on my sternum. I asked the doc when he would drop so I would have more room "up there" and he said that the baby probably won't drop because he is big. Others, nurses included have said this isn't true. When did your baby drop and was he/she a large one?

This isn't a question for people who have weeak stomachs!

okay, I normally only babysit boys. I have two nephews and all my friends but one has boys. I don't mean to be sick here or make anyone think I'm a child perv. I'm not. Just I'm not used to girls.

So I had to change her butt. It was really sticky like clay. After cleaning her butt, I checked to make sure there wasn't any inside her genitals. While I was cleaning her out, cause she had some in there, I saw a bump at the opening of her vagina...was it her cervix or something else? Just wondering, it looked weird. She's 11 months old.

I have a five month old daughter and the nurse at my Dr. office said she can't have any over the counter medication until she is 6 months. The only way I can get approval to give something before then is to bring her in. She has a cough and a little congestion at night only. I am almost positive it is allergies which Benadryl will take care of. We have an infant dosage chart for Tylenol and Dr. Sears says that the Benadryl dosage is the same. Do you guys think it is ok for me to give her some Benadryl at night so the poor baby will stop coughing and get some sleep? Thanks!

I know this seems far fetched but I am conserned about my baby he is only 4 months old and has already with no help learned to walk and also has grown all his baby teeth at this time. How can this be? Has anyone heard about this happening to someone they know? If anyone has any information please email me at yaucana1@verizon.net. Thank you.

Hi, My 4 month old baby girl started with a dipaer rash that has become really bad...she doesn't complain at all but you can see she has a little spot where her skin peeled off. My dr already prescribed an ointment but I wanna Know if I can do something else to get rid of it. She started drinking fruit juices like 2 weeks ago (when all this started) Thanks for your comments, I'm a new mom and I feel awful about it.

I was in between doctors so I was unable to ask my doctor about this situation. After reading up on the internet I am worried about effects of soy formula and if I am doing the right thing. It has helped him so far-before he had such painful gas, he would scream while nursing. My mother said maybe he wasn't getting enough milk but when I pumped my milk, I had plenty.

help! my 4 month old is a tummy sleeper (now that she can roll over, she will not sleep on her back) and is getting stuck in the crib at night. when i put her down, she's nicely positioned in the crib, but the past few nights i've had to go in and turn her back around. she's getting stuck...she moves so much that she ends up with her feet and head against the rails. i have one of those breathable mesh bumpers, which helps to keep her feet and arms from getting through the rails, but it's not too soft! i've tried a sleep positioner, but she hates it because she can't put her arms down. i'm thinking of putting her regular bumpers on but am nervous about sids. anyone have any suggestions?

really fussy lately. he is not a fussy baby. what age to babies generally start teething? the only things that i have noticed is that he drools all the time and puts everything in his mouth. i tried looking at his gums yesterday, but i couldn't really tell if they were swollen.

My baby is almost 3 months old and he is a fantastic eater and sleeper. (I think.) He eats every 3 hours during the day and then goes 8-9 hours at night! I'm wondering if this will be his pattern for as long as he continues to breastfeed- or if the 3 hour increments will eventually spread out.

When asking another question about custard for babies, someone gave good tips about storing in a cool and dark place/putting in a bowl of cold water. (No electricity where we live, and it is a tropical climate)

My good friend just had a baby and I want to get them a gift. However, they've already had the baby shower so I'm sure they have all that they need. What is something unique I could get them that they may not have? Should I just get them a card?

I had a natural birth 5 days ago and am in lots of pain because they stiched me up besides other pain. I was prescribed OXYCODONE by the doctor and got relief, but over the weekend the dose got finished and there was no refill, the doctor could not also prescribe the medication over phone to the pharmacy since it is some special controlled substance. She said tylenol or motrin will do for today (Sunday) and I could get the proper medication on Monday.

I have been taking full doses of tylenol and brestfeeding constantly. Seems like the baby is unusally sleepy, she was quiet active for the last four days. Please advise anyone. Much appreciated for your advise.

My daughter has been sleeping in my bed almost the whole 11months since she has been born. She is strarting to get very clingy and realises when I'm not there with her and wakes up. It is starting to affect my fiancee's and her quality of sleep.
Time to get her out- have tried a few things but she is very determined to stay. What are some techniques and how long do i trial it if its not working before trying something else.
