Well because people are imperfect. and you might think there babies are mistakes but there not there blessing. they may be inconvenient at the time but with allot of work it turns in to a wonderful blessing. Just because someone had a baby young does not mean there stupid. it means they made a different turn in life, and is now experiencing motherhood young. As long as there child gets abundance of love and nurture ,there is nothing we should say about it. Yes i would say wait until your married but things happen.
Also i was reading this girls answer and she said she doesn't get help from the government. Whats wrong with that? there are many people who really try hard to make a living but still need government assistant. and there are people who lost there job and are going through some rough times and the get government assistant there is nothing wrong with it as long as you don't just live on it to by drugs and cigarettes.

There could be a few factors involved. One, could be incest by some family member, or, it can be a young girl without a daddy to be looking for love in all the wrong places. Or, just plain sexual experimentation, where, oops, no birth control was used. Plus, with the hormones put in our milk products, (cows being injected with it to help produce more milk), it can cause earlier development of the young people, there fore curious a little earlier than first thought of. Some young people believe Old Wives Tales, to help "prevent" pregnancy, but what they think is protecting them, is not. I hope this helps answer your question. Take care.

There is no excuse. It's life and life happens. I never thought I would have a child at 18 but you know what, I can't blame my childhood or my mom or my dad or that I played video games or too much/not enough sex education. God has a plan for all of us and I was blessed with a beautiful son. If it wasn't for him, I honestly don't think my husband and I would be where we are today. So, all excuses aside people..there is no real reason why.

Depends on how young. If your married it is good if the wife has her children younger than 35 because older and you have a "high risk pregnancy". If your talking about unmarried teens. I think it is the breakdown of the family that affects teen pregnancy the most. Not enough Daddy's sticking with their kids so Mommy has to go out and work. Not enough guidance or supervison.

What do you consider young?

I think you should be asking why are so many people getting pregnant in their younger years, not why are they having babys, becasue the reason they are having babys and the reason they are getting pregnant are two different things.

Im about to be 21 and i have two wonderful boys and i am happily married with an income. So it all depends who you are talking about. Theses kids who are young and feeding off the government i think its b/s. I always wanted to have kids young but the difference is me and my husband can take care of our kids without help from anyone and we do!

Personally, I am getting married and are completeely comfortable in my reltionship. While I understand that this relationship may not last forever (although i am sure it will), I am ready to have a child, can finincillay and emotionally support one, and so can my partner.
If a child is going to be brought into a loving and secure environment, why does it matter how old the parents/parent are?

Lack of sex education? More and more teenager get pregnant is mainly they don't take any birth control to prevent. Very limited of them wanted to start a family at such young age.

But I got to say, those teenager whom have gone thru the child-birth, I really got to salute them as they r really brave to face the problem and act well too.

because in todays society the young woman is constantly under sexual pressure from peers and media and to cope with that pressure some just give in to make it go away and then pop they have a baby and no possible way to care for it. rape is also a large cause and it has been on the rise so that would explain it along with my first explaination
