what pediatricians are looking for is about double their birth weight....so if babies are average 7-9 lbs at birth, then 14-18lbs at 6 months....

My baby is almost 6 months old and weighs 17 lbs.

my daughter is 6 and a half months and i beleive she weighs just over 12 lbs. she was 7lbs at birth and dr says she is good average weight.
my other daughter weighed 11lbs at her 6 month mark. she was also 7 at birth.

My daughter is 6months and 2 weeks, she wieghs 17 lbs. And eats every baby food there is to buy, very good eater.
