Rock a bye baby in the tree top-- Why would u ever put a baby in the tree top unless u want it to die

When the wind blows the cradle will rock--Its on the top of the tree and the crandle will rock? mmmmmm wonder what will happen!!

When the bow break the cradle will fall-- FALL TO THE GROUND!!!!

Down will come baby cradle and all-- Well when that baby hits the ground it need a lullabye anymore!!!

This is a death song so who would sign it to there baby? Anyone agree w/ me??

I'm interested in cloth diapering my next baby. I've done a lot of research online, about different types of diapers and how to wash them, etc.

But one thing I still have trouble imagining is actually going out on outings and having to deal with stashing dirty cloth diapers. I would love to know other people's experiences with this. I'm considering having some disposable diapers for such times.

My 13 month old baby girl is running a fever. Last time I took her temp it was 101.8 under her arm. Then I went to see the ped this afternoon. She said my daughter seems to be fine and it's probably "just" a viral thing.
Is there anything I can do for my little one? She's never been sick and I am sooooo worried.
We just came back from the Keys last night when the fever started.
She's somewhat quiet today. No other symptoms though. I give her popsicles, Pediasure, water and breast milk and infant tylenol.

I was wondering how long it took some women to have intercourse after their delivery. I know the doctor says wait, but it is so hard. Some of my friends have said they couldn't wait the 6 weeks until the doctor sais it was ok. Is that safe?

Morning everybody! I am currently still breastfeeding my 1 yr old but my doctor wants me to switch her to homogenized. I was just wondering what the health benefits are and could she have 2% milk instead? She is a very plump little thing so I don't think she needs to be on homogenized. Thanks.

My husbands family constantly makes me feel ashamed that i am breastfeeding our daughter (who is three months)... when she gets hungry they constantly ask me to give her a bottle (she won't take it, i don't know what to do) I never breastfeed in front of ANYone besides my husband (who is Fine with it by the way) my poor baby gets hungry in public and i am made to feel i have to go home and Shut the door because i am a "pervert" "childmolestor" How is nourishing your child to be called such a thing? I am very hurt and would like to hear from other mothers who have dealt with things like this and HOW they handled it.

Ok:) I am looking for advice on the best ways to DESCRETLY breast feed in public. I don't have a lot of money so items from home are what i'd be using. My Baby WON'T take a bottle so that won't even work lol... Thanks

My son LOVES grape juice! If I let him, he will drink 4 or 5 sippy cups full. I dilute it with half water, and make sure that I buy the juice with the least amount of sugar, but I'm still worried about him drinking too much. I give him water, but he'll only drink about half a cup, and milk, but he'll only drink about half a cup of that as well. He's still nurses though so I'm not too worried about the milk thing cause he also eats alot of cheese and yogurt. I should say that he will be a year next week.

My son is a VERY RESTLESS sleeper, and as such, when he doesn't sleep with us, I get up 3-4 times a night to try and soothe him back to sleep (or remove his leg from in between the crib slats - still not sure how he accomplishes this) -

Just wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions for comfortable sleeping positions with your baby - I prefer to sleep on my stomach but end up staying solely on my side, which is my least favorite -

We both end up sleeping SO MUCH BETTER - Son sleeps from 9p-7a CONTINUOUSLY, when he sleeps with mom :) So any help to make me more comfortable will definitely be appreciated :)

He is 4 months old

My daughter is 10 mo old, she has pierced ears. Had them since she was 3 weeks old. My own mother pierced mine when I was only a few weeks old. People see my daughter and gripe because of her pierced ears. She's my daughter, what's it to them? I was told it doesn't hurt the baby that young, well it didn't seem to on my baby, she didn't even flinch. So really, what's the big deal, and why can't they mind their own business?

He has a dummy, so ive tried to give him that and calm him down, but he will not stop crying or go back to sleep untill he has a bottle. He feeds every three hours during the day and has 3 lots of solids. He is teething, so could that be the problem?? Ive tried to give him water instead, but he wont have it. Ive shecked that he's warm, I check his nappy, but it seems all he wants is a bottle and he wont give up till he gets it. He moves around alot at night and is always pushing the covers off him so i now put him in sleeping bags. Will he eventually grow out if this or should i try the cry and control technique???

My 13 month old got a fever last night and he is burning up. His temperature is 101 degrees, but our doctor just said thats normal for a fever but if it gets any higher call him. My poor baby just seems so hot and uncomfortable, he just lays on my chest all day. Any suggestions on how to comfort him and break this fever. I've been giving him tylenol and try to give him bottles of water but he just wants to be breastfed.

I am about to have my first baby and I am very nervous about how I am going to do it. I am really nervous about having some doctor putting his hands all over me and really just about anyone other than me and my husband even looking at me. I was thinking about just doing it at home with a mid-wife but my husband and his brothers all had problems at birth and would have died if they hadnt been at the hospital, so I need to be at one. Could I go to a hospital, but have a mid-wife birth the baby instead of a doctor? Also, what about water-births?

My husband and I are not in agreement as to whether or not we should circumcize our son after birth?

He (hubby) is circumsized and just assumes our baby would be. He doesn't really have any reason that we should have it done, other than "most guys are".

I'm not really against circumcision, but I don't really see the need for it either. It just seems like it might be sort of a needless surgery.

I've done some research and I can't really find any substantial evidence that circumcision is all that bad or all that beneficial. There are pros and cons to either decision.

What was the reason you decided to circumcize your son or not to?

Any ideas for a bed for baby... we are going to a friend trailer this weekend with our 3 year old & 10 month old. We will be sleeping on a pull out couch with our 3 year old son, my daughter is 10 months old, and we really don't want to bring our playpen if someone has any ideas as to where/how she could sleep. The trailer is actually a mobile home type thing and very clean, new & carpeted. Anyone have any ideas as to how to keep her 'contained' and safe during her nights? Thanks in advance!
