And NO, you do NOT have to eat like a health nut to produce good milk. Your body will rob you of all the nutrients it has to and give them to your baby if you dont eat well enough. Formula is NOT good enough, and anyone EDUCATED on the subject will know that. I'm glad you want to do some research on this. Here are some additional sites that will teach you a lot:

Breastfeeding is best for you and your baby. Even the bottles of formula say that. Breastfeeding will build immunities in your baby and help the baby's digestive track. Formula is not regulated by the FDA and contains gross things that most adults avoid in their diets.
Breastfeeding is FREE, it will help you lose weight, very convenient - you can feed your baby anywhere, no buying, cleaning, warming bottles and bottle accessories, and you get to snuggle all the time with that little precious baby!

Here is the age old debate. ;)
I think the general concensus is that breastfeeding is best. I do personally happen to agree with that. It builds a healthy immune system. And your breastmilk is MADE just for YOUR baby. One thing I learned while nursing is that as your baby gets older, your breastmilk changes. So the milk you give your 2 week old baby is different than the milk you will produce when they are 6 months.
But that being said, I also don't believe it's right for every woman. If you're not comfortable with it, don't do it. You won't be doing your child any favors if you are not commited to it and your child picks up on your resentment and discomfort.
Do what YOU think is best. If you're considering nursing, try it! You can always switch if you decide it's not for you.

Brestfeeding is better when mom eats and drinks healthy. There are always going to be problems, but if your baby will take the breast please feed the baby that way.
Yes it may be convenient to feed your baby formula, but breastfeeding should not be a problem to do in public as long as you can cover up. I mean come on there are posters of women everywhere showing there breasts, why do women have to hide feeding their babies.
It is only natural.

Breastfeeding is always the best option, but don't feel guilty about supplementing with formula or having to only use formula. Breastfeeding boosts your infants immune system and is the healthiest for your baby. It changes with your babies needs, near the beginning with richer colustrum (and their bellies can hold the size of a marble amount of milk at the beginning, so though there is not a lot of colustrum, it's the perfect amount for them.)
I had planned on only giving my baby breast milk, but some issues with a huge mastitis (8 cm) has caused me to supplement. I felt so guilty, but my doctor reassured me that by giving her as much milk as I can produce and supplementing the rest with formula, that I am doing what is right. Just know that the less you breast feed, the less you'll produce. I've been working for weeks to increase my supply by feeding and constantly pumping.

breastfeeding is the best because it protects them from illness and is better nutritionally as well. Your breastmilk has everything your baby needs and is proven to help with develpoment. It is also free so you don't have to buy formula. However don't feel bad if you need to use formula it is a mothers choice! Kids are fine on formula too.

Breast feeding is better by miles and miles. It is easier on the babies stomach, and the mothers body produces so many nutrients and antibodies that formula just cant duplicate. And of course, breast feeding is FREE! Fomula is really expensive. Breast feeding is more convienent in my opinion, because you can feed anytime anywhere without having to prepare a bottle.
