This isn't a question for people who have weeak stomachs!

okay, I normally only babysit boys. I have two nephews and all my friends but one has boys. I don't mean to be sick here or make anyone think I'm a child perv. I'm not. Just I'm not used to girls.

So I had to change her butt. It was really sticky like clay. After cleaning her butt, I checked to make sure there wasn't any inside her genitals. While I was cleaning her out, cause she had some in there, I saw a bump at the opening of her vagina...was it her cervix or something else? Just wondering, it looked weird. She's 11 months old.

No its not her clitoris. I know what that is. It was in her vagina, not very far though. I just guessed that maybe it was her cervix since at that age her vagina would be really short. But I plan to mention this to her mom.

I have never seen anything like that. If I have it didn't catch my eye. It could be something important. I would have an appointment made to be sure it isn't internal vaginal materials that are protruding. That could result in some unwanted results.

Ok, so you are a girl, too. Have you never "checked out" your parts before? Your cervix is not visible, it is way up inside your vagina. What you saw was probably her clitoris, which by the way, you have one too. Make sure if you ever change a baby girl again, that you always wipe from front to back! That way you won't get it in her vagina.

I have a two year old child and the bump..is it above the opening? It sounds like her clit....if not I would have the pediatrician look at it. I felt awkward cleaning out my daughter down there and she just recently had a really bad diaper rash so I had to rub Vaseline in there to help it go away

More than likely, it is her clitoris. You have one, too. The cervix is on the inside, so that's not what you saw.

its normal. Without looking I couldn't tell you what you saw, but female babies have all the parts that adult women have , labia, cervix, clitoris etc.

You can't see a cervix without a speculum.
Who knows what it was?
