Talk to your doctor about trying probiotics (the same live culture that's in yogurt). Recent studies have shown that 75% of infants with colic can be helped with them, and they're available over the counter. Here's something for you to read: http://www.nutraingredients-usa.com/news/ng.asp?n=73215-biogaia-probiotic-reuteri-colic

You have tried Mylacon drops? Is that the drops you are using. Well, I had a baby with colic from day 1 and you are in for a long time of no sleep. The only thing you can do is just either Kangaroo cuddle that is both of you naked and you cuddle with the baby or you can try a warm (NOT HOT) water bottle and lay it on the babys belly. You can also try to swaddle the baby tight. Some of these may work and some may not. None worked for me so I feel your pain. I hope some of these suggestions will help.

Well first of all at 2 weeks I would be taking him to his Doctor, if they say it's colic then he will tell you what to do about it.
My son had colic for 3 months and I gave him the colic drops, and the only thing that seemed to some what help was soda deluted with water..but I think you need to talk to his Dr first, sometimes you might think it's colic and it could be something else, like a hurnia..I wouldn't wait though.. just to be on the safe side.. congradulations as well.

I would recommend you try using the "Happiest Baby on the Block" approach by Dr. Harvey Karp. He suggests that babies actually go through a "4th trimester," when they experience colic. The website listed below has a lot of information.

The program comes in book/dvd but gives step by step instructions that include swaddling and some other steps. You should be able to find more information on the Internet or even at your library.

The website is below. I watched him present once at a conference and was fascinated with his approach. One of my colleagues is also trained to be a certified Happiest Baby instructor.

This is the best approach I have heard of - it really seems to work!

I'm right there with ya girl.. i have a 3 week old who has colic...here's what seems to help us.. (even though it's only for a couple of hrs.. but hey 2 hrs of sleep is better then none!)
-buy a sling and carry baby in it when ever you can
-we just switched to Good start formula with probiotics(green can) and he's less gassy
-when he/she is fussy lay them on your legs (on babys back) and run his/her legs like they're riding a bike
-swaddle
-give baby gas drops before and after meals...
-burp baby every 1/2 ounce.

I havent tried gripe water.. but i dont think it would work on mine.... good luck.. this too shall pass(we hope!)
*oh and i forgot... those HALO sleep saks are great, when we put him in it he calms down a bit.

Oh, your poor, poor mommy! And poor baby!! You can try a couple of the home methods that worked for my son when he was an infant - and he was a sick and colicky baby too.
One was to take a candy cane or peppermint candy and stir it in an ounce of water for 3 minutes then let him drink it. The peppermint soothes babies tummy and makes the gas come out.
Get a very large blow up beach ball. Blow it up till it is full but not firm. Lay baby on top of the ball, hold his little hands and roll him on the ball letting his feet touch the floor then back up. Do this for 3-5 minutes. For some reason this not only soothes baby tummy but makes all of the gas come out too.
Best of luck to you and baby.

I was going to recommend the peppermint stick in water bottle remedy, glad some else thought of that. Here is something else
that will help. Lay little one on your arm (like football hold kinda)
with his or her head in your hand, and with other hand rub back.
My daughter had colic for awhile not long tho.
Also the mylacon drops really worked for my kiddo.
Good Luck

My baby got colic when he was 2.5 weeks old. He was on formula since I had no milk. I bought him "DR. Brown's" bottles that reduce colic (I bought it in USA) and that helped 50%. Then someone told me to try different kind of formula. I bought 1 can of each kind, mixed it, and picked one with the least amount of bubbles. My son's problems went away. He is now 4 months old and let me tell you, I used different bottle to feed him and he had terrible gas the next day. Try to look up Dr.Brown's bottles. I bought them at Toys R US. Good luck!

Comfort him and try to make him as comfortable as possible, and remember if it gets to be too much call someone you trust to watch him, and get out of the house for an hour or two, before going back into the "battlefield" if it gets to be too much for you. Try going for walks with him in the stroller too, that may relax him enough to put him to sleep for at least a little bit.

A vet bypass to should not be hundreds of greenbacks. The domestic dog could be seen by a vet to verify if there's a actual or organic and organic reason that it is not thriving. each and every of the domestic dogs could desire to be seen ultimately to de-malicious program and get their first photographs etc, this one merely must be seen previously. in case you have financial themes, then ask the vet if he/she would be able to artwork with you. that's stupid to easily wager and ask strangers for suggestion once you have a sickly canine who desires medical interest. I certainly have different pets or perhaps I certainly have not spent hundreds of greenbacks on the vet. could be a hundred whilst there's a concern, yet on no account one thousand.
