Slapping a newborn's bottom at birth is rarely done. The initial function was to stimulate newborns to cry if they did not spontaneously cry at birth. Other methods of stimulation are now used such as suctioning out the nose and mouth and rubbing the baby with a towel. Slapping a newborn's bottom is sometimes shown on movies and TV shows when babies are born, but it is a technique used for effect to make the moment more dramatic and is not how it is usually done in real life.

To get them to breath, or else they will be short of oxygen and other physical or mental problems may arise for the child.

They dont smack babies on the butt anymore to get them to breath.. and Yeah.. your question isnt gonna get many serious answers if you keep it worded that way.
