I help my sister watch her 7 month old. Im really bonded with my neice. She smiles everytime shes sees me, but she has an annoying habit. She has tendencys to whine when you dont look at her or put her down. She will start to wail. I love my neice to death but I cant hold her every second. She only crys when I put her down or when I dont look at her. Can she has seperation anxiety this young?

My 8 month old baby girl is absolutely miserable! She cries all the time. I'm so frustrated, that I just cry right along with her. I've taken her to the doctor 4 times and each time she tells me that she is perfectly fine, gaining weight and healthy. Next they suggest that it is me and that I need medication for PPD. I refuse to take anything since my husband and my mother experience the same utter frustration when spending any amount of time with her.
Anyone have any idea on what might be going on?

Please help!!!!

My baby is now eating 3 solid meals a day, he doesn't really drink water, just breastfeeds on demand, should he be drinking water also? How many feeds should he be having a day now? I am now working 2 days a week so he's having expressed milk while i'm at work but i'm confused about how much he needs.

He is totally breast fed. He is eating & sleeping well and looks good. Not all of his bowel movements are green, but most of them are. Does anyone know what could be causing this? He sees the doctor on Monday, but just wondering until then.

Here is the story: Should I give my baby the father's last name or mine?

I am 30 weeks pregnant, or 7.5 months. The father and i are engaged. We have had problems, and some things in our relationship I prefer not to delve into--don't want to look. We are living together. But the fact is we are not married. I love this man, but I'm not sure i trust him with my and my baby's financial future. Should I give baby my last name, just in case, or his last name, also just in case, or both (although it's not very lyrical). One way or another, i can see myself spending time answering questions about why my name and baby's name aren't the same.

I pump my milk everyday and today I noticed the color of it is greenish. It usually is white with even a slight bluish hue to it. It doesn't smell or taste any different. The only thing I can think of is that I ate asparagus yesterday, but not even very much of it. Has this happened to anyone else? What else could be the cause? Is it still safe to feed my baby? Thanks.

What do you think? I think it's short, cute and a little old fashioned (in a good way), but my hubby can only think of 'poison ivy'. Is that your first reaction?

I am feeling anxious and overwhelmed. My husband is home with me but is going back to work this sunday. I have a beautiful son and caring family. I just feel so freaked out. Any one else gone though this? I am not feeling like I am going to hurt myself or anyone else, I am just having trouble relaxing and bonding. Any advice is appreciated.

I had my baby 9 days ago and I had a fever since we came home from the hospital, but it just comes for a couple hours and goes away. I stopped taking the tylenol and ibuprofen for my pain so I am not taking anything anymore unless I really need it. I went to the doctor Wed feeling nauseous and weak and he told me that if my temp got up to 100.4 without taking the tylenol to come in and he will start me on IV antibiotics. Now I have this cough and I dont want to pass all my germs to my baby. Everytime he starts to fall asleep I cough and he wakes up. What is safe to take for a cough? I am trying to get ahold of the doc but I just wanted to know.

He weighed 14 lbs at 3 mos, so he's probably up to 15.5 or 16lbs. He's taking a 4 oz bottle every 2 1/2 to 3 hrs from 7am until 8pm. We put about 1tsp of rice cereal in his bottle to ease spitting up. He does sleep through the night 9pm-7am. He seems to be wanting a 6 oz bottle, but still eats every 2.5 hrs. I'm afraid of over-feeding him.

My baby did not take to the breast due to the fact that she was taken from me for 4 hours right after birth and given a bottle soon after so I decided to stop frustrating her with trying to breastfeed and just pumping and bottle feeding instead. I haven't gotten myself into a strict schedule with pumping yet so she is mostly on the formula with about 2 feedings of breast milk a day. My mother came to stay a couple nights and she kept putting the breast milk I had pumped into the same feedings as the formula because she said there wasn't enough breastmilk for a full feeding...I've read a few different things online, but nobody seems to know...is it ok to mix my pumped breastmilk in the same bottle feeding as the formula??
