For the first couple of days yes. Your breast produce colostrum when the baby is born and the smell, touch, and excitement of your baby will cause them to leak slightly. Also hot water will make them leak. If you choose not to breastfeed, your milk will dry up in a matter of days. But until then, they may feel uncomfortable, heavy, hard, and be sore, so you may want to buy a cabbage and put it in our fridge. If you get these symptoms, put cold cabbage leaves on your breast for about 15 -20 minutes and it should help relieve the pain. If you do decide to breast feed, make sure you do it every 2-3 hours to avoid engorgement and clogged milk ducts. When you are done, your breasts should feel light and soft.

Yes. At 30 weeks (after I went into preterm labor) I was leaking milk like crazy. I'm 34/35 weeks now and I still leak like crazy. It doesn't matter if you are going to breastfeed, your body is getting itself ready to anyways (mother nature.) Breast feeding will help your uterus get back into it's regular shape and slow down the bleeding, so if you don't have a big problem with it, it might be a good idea to do it for the first days at least or even just pump (rent a pump or self-extract) just for the benefits for you if you are totally against breast feeding.

Oh yes. They will leak until the milk supply dries up. They will also become engorged and hurt pretty bad. You can use a heating pad on low wrapped in a cup-towel to help with the swelling, it helps with blood flow. Don't' forget to use nursing pads until you dry up because you can leak at any time, it's king of embarrassing if you're at dinner or the grocery store and it happens. Good luck with everything!

yes they do, then they get rock hard and hurt so bad, but after a little while (i think like 2 weeks or so) they dry up. if they do leak, don't squeeze them or try to get the milk out, otherwise you will still produce milk instead of it drying up. good luck!
