My son is 5 months old and ever since he was born we sterilize his bottles every day. Would it be okay to sterilize them less often?

My son is very congested... cough/stuffy nose. Any one have any suggestions on what to do to help? I'm already using a warm mist humidifier in his room and am using an aromatic chest rub. I prefer the more natural remedies if possible. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

I know I should not worry about the thumb sucking but it is hurting her and it is her comfort and she gets very fussy. I tried Thum but that doesn't work on her, neither does hot sauce. I am trying to keep it wrapped until up the sores heal up. Any suggestions will help.

I applied for my new born baby's AHCCCS after she arrived. Does AHCCCS cover those medical fee between her born and the time I applied for AHCCCS.

It mean.......
Feb. 13th: My baby was born.
Feb. 22th: I applied AHCCCS (Mercy Care Plan) for her.
Mar. 5th: I got AHCCCS Medical Identification Card.

Does AHCCCS cover all medical fee between Feb. 13th and Mar. 5th? Thank you.

PS. Both I and my wife were NOT under AHCCCS before Feb. 13th.

an answer to one of my questions earlier prompted me to ask about this. does relactation really work? when i first got pregnant, I told myself that I was going to breastfeed. and as i got closer to my due date, i talked myself out of it. and now i'm just kicking myself for not giving him the best milk for him. he's 11 weeks old. i would really like to breastfeed him. can this really work for me and is there anyone who has actually tried it and succeeded?

My son is 6 months old...I know the doctors say don't give them motrin until they are 6 months old..Can we start giving it to him or do we need to call the doctor first? When I spoke to the doctor she didn't say I had to call first..Just checking what other moms have done. :)

Ok so at school in health, we have flower babies, so what should I name a girl, and a boy lol, I have no clue! I think it's stupid my opinion that we need them, because I won't be having kids for quite a while at least 25!

Let's say that a mother leaves her baby in a playpen all day long with no stimulation or attention, and that this has been going on daily until the child was 2 years old. (And has only breast-fed for a week). Assuming that the baby had all his basic needs fulfilled (food, blankets, adequate conditions), but was NEVER socialized, and left in a playpen with a rattle and maybe a stuffed animal. And once the child was 3, was left at a nursery school all day, where they did not provide much stimulation/learning opportunities for the child. How would the child be affected socially & mentally? Other than the obvious effect of boredom and loneliness.

I am planning on breastfeeding my baby when she is born. However, I am extremely modest and the thought of breastfeeding - even covered - in public terrifies me. I've considered feeding in a private area (my car, a dressing room, etc) or pumping so that I can take bottles when we have to be out. In practice, will those solutions work, or is it going to be more trouble than it's worth? Are there any other ideas that I haven't thought about?

I went back to work this week, and am pumping milk to give to my 10 week old daughter. My problem is this...I can't let down! Or, I feel like I can't. Each time I pump, I'm only getting at MAX 2 ounces.

And, here's what I have tried to do to try to help... I have hadsilence, I turn on music, I stare at pictures of Eden (my daughter), I close my eyes and take deep breaths, I use one of her blankets to cover me, I have one of her washcloths that smells like her.... still...2 ounces or less.

I'm scared that if I can't get more out, I'm going to have to supplement with formula, and I know it's not the enemy, but I DON'T want to do that.

I just got my PIS Advanced (thank you again, SillyGirl), so I'm considering spending a weekend of round robin feeding and pumping to try to help my supply, but that's all I can think of.

I am a second time mom to a beautiful 7 month old son who came at 34 weeks. My daughter never screamed, so I am at a total loss and at my WITS END!!

He screams, all the time! And its not a little scream, no, its as loud as he possibly can and the pitch is piercing and painful. I am just waiting for CPS to show up and see if we are beating him, because thats what it sounds like! He does it if he is happy, sad, board, etc. I have no idea how to make him stop. If I ignore him he screams louder, if I firmly tell him 'no', he laughs and does it again.

Any time he starts to babble, my husband and I really pay a lot of attention to him, we babble back in earnest trying to show him that babbles get attention where screaming does not. I seriously need some help though, the high pitched, constant, ear splitting screaming is getting to be too much!! (Don't worry, I never want to hurt him or shake him or anything. It just makes me nuts and I feel sorry for our childless neighbors!))
