Does AHCCCS (Arizona) cover from the time which baby was born?

I applied for my new born baby's AHCCCS after she arrived. Does AHCCCS cover those medical fee between her born and the time I applied for AHCCCS.

It mean.......
Feb. 13th: My baby was born.
Feb. 22th: I applied AHCCCS (Mercy Care Plan) for her.
Mar. 5th: I got AHCCCS Medical Identification Card.

Does AHCCCS cover all medical fee between Feb. 13th and Mar. 5th? Thank you.

PS. Both I and my wife were NOT under AHCCCS before Feb. 13th.

Did your wife have medical coverage at all at delivery? If so, that company should cover your newborn's expenses until she left the hospital.
