I pump my milk everyday and today I noticed the color of it is greenish. It usually is white with even a slight bluish hue to it. It doesn't smell or taste any different. The only thing I can think of is that I ate asparagus yesterday, but not even very much of it. Has this happened to anyone else? What else could be the cause? Is it still safe to feed my baby? Thanks.

I got a green tint to my breastmilk when I ate a lot of broccoli, so I would assume that it's the asparagus.. that's one of the healthy things about breastmilk, it carries all the nutrients.
Congrats on your baby!! :) I'm due in 9 weeks with my 2nd, can't wait!! :)

If you're still not sure, call the doc. :)

Yea, breastmilk can change with what you eat... Also, it changes flavors too.. so the baby is getting accustomed to your diet long before they ever eat solid food. I believe this is why breastfed babies are supposed to be better eaters?
